Cause you're gonna have to take the one out to put in the new full pillar pod. By installing a triple you put your boost gauge back in and two additional gauges!! Also, not all Cobalt owner's have the boost gauge.

Also, for those that still haven't noticed there will be a triple pod pillar. Triple = 3

I've also wanted to have two small gauges in the lower corners of the dash cluster like on the mustangs.

One thing I am wondering is if they will make the pod so the guages are a little tucked in like on the stock pillar. It would look awesome to have 3 pods identical to the stock one instead of just the normal ugly bubble pods on the pillar.

boossted, if you take the pillar off, you will see that that isnt possible at least to my knowledge of them. there is some plastic reinforcement stuff behind the main pillar shaft above our stock gauge.. i agree though, 3 tucked in would look sick.... after i get my stock one switched out this weekend, i will work on it and see if i can come up with something.

Well you could always take that stuff off. I don't think they will make it like that anyways. I am sure it will just be a generic pod like all other cars

How does this go on? Take the pillar off and insert the new pillar?

Anyone know the gauge series from Autometer that would match the stock gauge? Sport-comp kinda looks close.

I was thinking of getting the whole cobalt line to match the "cobalt" but then the normal gauges wouldn't match (speedo, tach, fuel) Any color change options, like changing the lights behind the stock gauges? Anyone take out the cluster yet and try it?

The Auto Meter Nexus Gauges match up pretty well to the stock units, but they are a tad pricey.

I tried finding the pods on their site but nothing for a Cobalt but definitely wanting a 3 pillar. Now I have another thing I have to explain to the wife, it never ends
