The Good Shit!!!
DAMN!!! In an earlier thread, the subject of Toluene came up. How its basically a crazy amount of octane, and works as an insanly good octane booster. Well after much research it turns out that toluene is an ingredient in high octane gas, and was used in F1 cars back in "the turbo era". Well I tried some of this ****, and DAMN!!! I let my car heat soak like crazy and got my IAT2 up to 135 or 140 at idle, then scanned it and made a run, my IAT2 got up to a whopping 178 degrees after a bottom of third to top of 4th gear run. Upon looking at the scan I was running 25 degrees of timing, with 0 knock what so ever even though my IAT2 was almost 180 degrees! Thats some serious octane there! Now this was using a mixture of 4 gallons of 101 octane unleaded, 1 gallon of 109 octane unleaded, and 1 gallon of 100% pure toluene which is equivalent to 114 octane! You add a gallon of toluene to several gallons of 91 or 93 octane pump gas, and it will raise it to betweem 95 and 97 octane! The **** works PERIOD
I bought it at Ace Hardware, the container looks like this only bigger.

i remember that thread....it had a link to a massive long read about how it works
i was quite impressed with it actually. let us know how it goes man!
I believe they affectionately call it "rocket fuel"

No dude, toluene has pretty much the same chemical make up of gasoline. Think of it as octane concentrate. Like when you get the paste stuff thats orange concentrate and you add it to water to make orange juice. Toluene is octane concentrate, add it to pump gas to make it into race gas.
Yeah, if you're willing to risk it for higher octane every once in a while, it's cool. Running this on a regular basis destroys fuel systems REAL quick. Seen it many times on other cars in my personal experience and burned out 2 fuel pumps on a Cavalier because a gas station by me was using too much of it in their tanks. Boost or no boost, I'd never put a high amount of that stuff in my car. It's really really expensive race gas when something goes wrong.
I don't normally run a lot of octane, usually just plain shitty 91, but sometimes I'll throw a gallon or two of 101. This is by far the most octane I've ever run, 4 gallons 101, 1 gallon 109 and 1 gallon toluene. Its got to be at lease 110 octane, but hey 178 degree IAT2, 25 degrees of timing and NO KNOCK. It shows the it works! My exhaust also smells delicious
Yeah, I don't know about anyone else, but there is no way that I am going to add some solvent from Ace hardware to my fuel system. If that stuff was meant to be poured in their someone would be selling it as some sort of an additive or some junk. I like my car too much to be worrying about burning up my injectors, plugs, or getting some crazy detonation problem that may fry my motor by adding this stuff.. Good luck wit all that..
One more comment. I find it funny, how you hear about people complaining about spending a couple extra bucks for a decent exhaust setup that will give real world, constant, and permanent gains, but then drop money on something like this that may last a tank of fuel for short term gains and the possibility of hurting the car. But then, I'm not partial to Nitrous either.
I'm done..lol..Just my opinion though guys, not tryin to be a dick.
