But what I'm saying is a baseline pull with no mods at 144 whp is terrifically low.

144 was with the mods before the tune. I think my engine is toast. I mean it pulls hard. It keeps up with my freinds supercharged stage 2 le5.

heres the video of the dyno.

Something is wrong with your car or the dyno. 144whp is not possible even with a stock SSSC. That's NA 2.4 ecotec territory.

Even with a bunch of mods done to the car running a GMS2 flashed ECU?

Well the dyno had huge rollers and I mean huge! It was dynoed at 93 degrees and it was.more like 75 in the shop. Another guy with 2.8 60# cams full exhaust intake full cooling and a bunch of other stuff only made 262 on that dyno.

144 is weird no matter the conditions
But in **** conditions with no cooling mods is 222 that far off from normal? Dyno thread seems to show alot of mid to high 230s with similar mods

My car made 220whp 190tq bone stock. 260/220 with stage 2 and hp tune. Something's not right PS idc is around 100% with a 3" pulley.

I dont have any cooling mods but took the car out for some highway pulls. There is now way it only has 222whp more like 240whp a the very least.

Was your car in limp mode when you dynoed? Was the SC belt on?

The car was not in limp mode, and obviously the SC belt was on. The dyno weather station reported like 93 degrees F with I believe 25 percent humidity. Inside the shop was maybe 80 degrees. They had a blower in the front but it was tiny. I'm not even sure if it was switched on..

There's seriously something wrong with the car if it dynoed 144. Was it in 5th gear? Weather is not a factor with SAE correction.

Yeah 144hp first pull, 4th gear.

I'm also posting because I went with him and saw the car on the dyno as well and we're both trying to figure it out if anyone was wondering lol

so you ran 42s and a 3.06 inch pulley on the stock tune and made 140 hp?
then reflashed to gms2 and dynoed again and made 220?..

dont understand why you would do that, but i do know that you arent at 50% idc. youre probably logging the generic idc calculator on hptuners. it reads half of what it really is, because we have a single bank of cylinders and not 2 like v8s. if you search on the hpt forum there is a custom pid that will log our idc correctly

The size of the rollers don't matter. Your 220whp-ish after those mods seem a little low as well. Was your blower disconnected your baseline pass? Temps can make MAYBE a 10 horsepower variance for the power levels we are discussing (they were blowing the fan into your engine bay right?). Hell, my Trans Am made varied 10 horsepower between a 65 degree day (80ish degrees in the dyno room) and an 80 degree day (110 in the dyno room).

Okay so the baseline dynoed at 144whp with 42# injectors full exhaust intake and a 2.90 with gms2 flash. Then with the same mods it dynoed 222 whp and 208wtq after being hptuned. Its runing a 12.5 -13.0 afr. Way lean. There is nothing wrong with the car at least nothing obvious.

There's something wrong when your baseline is 60hp lower than gm's numbers from the factory lol

Dyno it at another shop, the problem may be the dyno and not your car

you really ought to dyno on the same dyno to have a before and after comparison. otherwise, your previous dyno and this dyno are useless. you use dynos as a tuning tool or comparison. it doesnt matter if your dyno reads that your car makes 80 hp, as long as you increase with modifications.

unless the dyno really is trash. if so, i wouldnt even waste money or time getting it dynoed. just have fun with it
