Or is that to far away from the intake manifold?

Ur car won't like it when the nozzle sprays on the MAF

That's for sure. What size nozzle are you running? I just put the 3M one in which is 3gal/hr after some reading. I might order the 5M one since the three provided were 3M/7M/12M. Hopefully I can get some timing added this week too. As for emptying the bottle, I used the hell out of it Saturday night with the 7M nozzle, and it barely went down at all. Kept the blower nice and cool and the intake was like ICE!

I don't want to come off as a noob, but when it comes to the Alcohol Injection Kit I don't have a clue about them, would it benefit me at all with my current mods. I have never messed with one of these kits, but it sounds like a great mod to go with.

I have gained 44 horsepower and 65ft/lbs or torque with a boost controller, downpipe, and alcohol. I think thats pretty astonishing. I have no port work, stock intercooler, stock throttle body, stock o2 housing and catback, the only exhaust piece i have is a 3inch downpipe. Stock injectors, and its a mild tune with my air fuels at about 11.6 across the board. I'd say thats pretty impressive

On o6black's cobalt, the meth was the determing factor if he made 275hp or 296 like he did.

The alcohol/water will do a number of things. First and foremost, alcohol is like pure octane, so depending on the mixture u run, you could turn that 93 octane you are running into 100octane at a fraction of the cost.

Second, the water will cool the intake charge, lowering your intake air temps, and on a supercharger setup that creates a substantial amount of heat as you increase boost, it'll work wonders. I've seen 06blackg85's cobalt in person, and the meth injection made his dyno run, and probably has saved his motor countless times. At the track he was recording 180degree iat's (no meth), compared to the 120's he was seeing with the meth turned on

Yeah, I am really considering a meth setup now. I rode with a friend with an EVO 9 running about 30psi on a COMPLETELY stock setup only mod was meth and man it was VERY impressive. And it looks cool having two tanks mounted on the back of the rear seats and a cool looking pump with braided steal lines.

I am unfamiliar with the devils own kit, but most meth kits will come with a mechanical check valve. Usually these valves are rated around 40psi, so as not to leak under vacuum. Honestly the best setup to avoid lag in the system is to use an electronic valve that opens as the meth turns on.

This isn't necessary when spraying before the throttle body. I have the same kit and it comes with a check valve.

What boost level do you have yours set to kick in 2k5? Did you hook up a light for it? I had a LED hooked up but I keep burning it out. I think it is because I have it hooked inline with the power so it keeps spiking the power to the LED. Just wondering what you did.

The kit has a mechanical check valve. See the intake nozzle pic in the thread and you'll see it attached to the 90* bend. It's silver coated brass.

I have mine set right now to come on around 10psi. It seems to work pretty good there. I still need to add timing, but I think I'm going to order the 5M jet first and install it.

Here is the boost sensor.
I have a question. Does this boost sensor have to go in between the boost bypass actuator and the valve? Or can you install it before the valve? Because i'm on the boost bypass mod, and it's the only way I can hit full boost since something is wrong with my car. Therefore, that rubber tube is not connected to my actuator.....

Also, when ordering it, do we order the 2 bar or 3 bar controller? I'm a bit confused there.

Here, it might be easier to explain it this way.....

THat line right there is not connected to my boost bypass actuator.....any ideas on how I could still run the meth kit?

I think they sell something that runs off volts...but i'd rather not do it that way

Wait, I think I may have an idea....Could I connect the line to the Actuator itself, and just route it into the boost sensor?

QUOTE=2K5SS/SC?;972210]Well, the UPS guy was kind enough to drop off my Devil's Own Methanol/Water injection kit today. I must say the kit is a nice setup. I've installed one on an Audi TT before and it worked great, so I hope it'll do the same for me. I'll be installing it on Saturday since I have to go to Chicago for a couple days, so stay tuned! Pictures and more power to come!

What does this have to do with the Devil's Own Meth Injection kit??? Please stop posting on this forum

Yes you can. Also what you see on the controller for turn on points on the progressive kit, our car has a 2.5bar MAP sensor and their kit is for 2 or 3 bar. I'm working with them on this now.

The Snow kit hooks up the the MAF sensor, the Devils Own kit hooks up to the MAP sensor if you get the progressive kit.
