I hate to tell you but I did in fact make more power with the stock TB yesterday. This is not actually a fully fair statement though as we did not push the fuel map past 6000 rpm on the dyno as I was not going to waste dyno time on it. Basically when tuned for the LS 4 before, it was with an exhaust restriction and would not be a fair comparison beyond 5000 rpm. Since beyond that is where the LS 4's value probably is, it is not really a fair statement to say that stock was dyno proven better than the LS 4, below 5000, definitely yes though.

If you are referring to mine you are correct, box stock. I was actually getting to the point where I was considering going to the John Deere store to buy a tractor to drive over the LS 4 when I got it back out. It then occurred to me that it would make me happier to use it for target practice with an elephant gun. At this point it is more than land fill to me, ... Yes, I will take revenge on inanimate objects ... That is just me with a very light car, I wish you luck sir in your endeavor!

you people whining about the LS4 throttle body need to learn how to tune for it. My car drives perfectly fine for a DD. It's not any touchier than stock. And it definitely has a lot more low end than stock as well, the tq and low end is incredibly stronger.

It is getting kind of ridiculous! At this point it looks like it is a lottery when you purchase your new LS 4 TB. Are you going to get one that responds to the scaler technique or not? Mine did not and add to that that my car weighs in at roughly 1350 lbs and you have a recipe for a traveling circus act that will appear at your local intersection. I am happy for the guys that did well in the lottery and got a good one!
I was kidding about destroying mine. I will patiently wait for more effort to be placed into the good fight against the evil LS 4 TB and await the outcome. As I have said before, next winter I will do another round of engine improvements,. For now I am just going to enjoy what I have and that requires the LS 4 TB on the shelf.

It was set to all of the ones that I had read 4500, 54xx (I don't remember the exact number), 3900 and many others and the results were all a little different, some better, some worse, but, ultimately none were very driver friendly. If they had lot or serial numbers, which I do not believe that they do, it would be interesting to track who is having and who is not having issues.
