i'll be helping a friend install the rack spacers on sunday, will let everyone know how it goes, and i already installed one of those h/e's...i didnt like that we had to drill holes for it to be installed, considering its sold specifically for a cobalt, not a universal h/e

i'm actually glad i had to drill holes when i installed mine, it allows you to adjust for clearances and stuff.

Installing the h/e is pretty straight forward...routing of hoses is probably what will co fuse people I had to draw it out on paper to remember and check to make sure everything was flowing in a optimal form...I can draw up a diagram if u guys want...shouldnt be hard

-ic pump>intake manifold>filler neck>stock h/e>ottp h/e(top=inlet, bottom=outlet)>ic pump inlet

The way I routed it the pump draws in water from the coolest available place being the ottp h/e and pumps it upward into the manifold...really simple, other like to pump water thru the h/e's first than to the manifold and than to the pump again...I don't like that way...seems like the water would of lost a lot of it mommenum by the time I reaches the manifold...Too far from where is being pumped out...and not far enough to be pulled in by the pumps inlet...but I could b wrong...that's just how I saw it working in my head

Installing the H/e isn't bad if you have a buddy to help you with it. Stavros and I got mine on in a few hours, but we also had to pull the front bumper. That made it alot easier.

Let me upload some pictures, then I'll either pm you or post them in here...

I don't have a whole lot, and they were on my cell phone, so I can't give you any high quality pictures.

Hey, I've got some things to do tonight, but I'm going to be up really early tomorrow morning. I'll take actual pictures with a camera of the front end and circle the bolts and everything that need to come out.

Anyone else who has done this, feel free to post up your pictures too on how to get the front bumper off.

i mounted mine about half an inch too far forward on the crash bar and ended up having to trim the bumper a bit. by trim the bumper i mean i litterally got a box cutter and was able to trim off a few pieces from the back side of the bumper (that are kinda pointless anyways). fit like a charm after that. plus it looks AMAZING cause it takes up the entire opening at the bottom of the bumper. looks mean.

I bought this H/E too (it's in my sig, just not installed). Probably going to install it next week. As far as drilling goes, I'm trying to avoid removing the bumper so...right angle drill FTW.
