as you can see, I went with a bigger tank, and I didn't use the drain option, because I didn't go to the track like stu does.

the other end of the side hose connects to engine, the other end of the bottom hose connects to the intercooler....when you take off the OE hoses you'll see what I'm talking about. In the pic you can see how I ran my side hose, the bottom hose I tucked in under the radiator support beam it'll come damn close to your SC pulley, but ziptie it up into the support and you'll have no issues.

This was just easiest for me, I know stu ran his hoses differently. and there's really no way/reason to keep the stock filler.

don, talk to Jim about it. he has it done with the stock filler and an extra heat exchanger. I saw his set up the other day when i was tuning him.

Stu isnt going to give up his secret ingredients. he sells kits.

there's really nothing secret about it. I made one up in about an hour on my car using a junkyard coolant tank, some fittings, and a bunch of heater hose. basically all you are doing is getting rid of the stock filler, and running new lines over to the larger tank mounted on your passenger fender. Thats IT.

cobra coolant tanks works nicely, its designed to flow coolant and comes with in and out 3/4 connectors molded in. Also has a 10 PSI cap

Take off left hose of filler neck. Re-route to new tank.

Take off right hose of filler neck. Re-route to new tank.

make sure the coolant is routed so that the coolant that comes out of the heat exchanger, being coldest possible pumps into the resevoir. This will improve the cooling capabilities as the coolant in the resevoir will always be getting cooler and build up a supply of the coldest possible coolant.

nope, just the stocker...I could drive the snot out of it, shut it down and come back at any point and put my hand on the SC and at most it would be a little warm, never hot.

I sold mine to 06superchargedbalt, he can tell you how well it works for him.

And yes, I'll pick up the slack! Works great!

It just makes it feel more consistent in runs and the big problem I was having issues with was detonation...but since I have had this it's stopped that completely. And like Arkornkid said, I can put my hand on the intake manifold and it's a lukewarm kind of hot....and the plumbing lines are cool to the touch. I smile every time I pop the hood and feel.

It's easy to plumb it up.
If you're familiar with the endplate and H/E then you are good.

1.Jack/ramp the car up, take the hose that runs from the bottom of the stock filler neck that connects to the heat exchanger and disconnect it...let the filler neck drain out (about a quart or so) .

2.Once it is done draining (5 mins) then take the hose that is connected to the top most part of the endplate -or- the output line and disconnect it also. Then proceed in taking off the stock filler neck from the frame (2-3 bolts)

3.Now take the new reservoir/tank that you have fab'd up and take the bottom hose and connect it to the same inlet nipple that the filler neck's bottom hose was once located and fasten it up to the heat exchanger's nipple.

4.Then take the top most line of the new reservoir/tank and fasten it to the top most endplate nipple -or- output nipple and then fill up the system.
Just like me, once I got under the car I figured it all out!

No, the only thing you'll need to do is just pour in you 50/50 mix let it set for a minute or two. The water's weight will provide enough force to fill to the proper level in the system. You'll hear it "burp" while pouring in your liquid as it's pushing the air out of the system. Be sure though, just to let the pump run it and verify it's pushing water through(you'll be able to clealy see water swishing in the tank) and just open the cap up once or twice while the car's running just to verify there is no pressurization or air build up.

I got mine at advance auto, but they had the exact same one at autozone too. it's just a universal radiator overflow tank

extra gallons?....damn, should never come close to running hot

but I don't know if that'll be too much of a strain on the OE pump....probably doesn't make a difference at all.....I'm sure someone will chime in.
