header question
header question
Im looking at getting a coated pacesetter header an the shop im buying it from says it comes with an extension but some modification may be needed. Does anyone know what it is talking about? cuz i doubt it comes with a downpipe so i'm at a loss...
unless its the downpipe (which i doubt it is), personally i wouldnt buy it. If it requires modification then its not ment for the cobalt...all the headers for the balt are simple bolt ons. Thats just my opinion though.
no the header doesn't require modification it is the one for the cobalt straight from pacesetter its the extension where the downpipe would bolt up is what they are saying that about
bump...?? its seperate from the header so i'm assuming its an extension to go in place of where downpipe would be but im not sure an wondering if anyone bought a pacesetter before an has some knowledge on this

The pacesetter is a ball and socket header, thats what they are talking about. You would either need to find a ball and socket down pipe or do some cutting and welding. I believe clear image automotive makes a ball and socket downpipe that works with it very very well.
from the people that use that header I would assume it is a very good hesader. Just to name a few wicked and area. I don't know if they are still using that header but they did even with the tvs and they both have put down good numbers
