Headerback Exhaust - 2 options

I looking at two different options for the full exhaust I'm going to get. I'm also not particularly concerned about the price, I'll pay for either, I just want to get what's best.

Option 1) Vibrant 4-2-1 Header with Downpipe and High Flow Cat with the 3 inch Vibrant Catback

Option 2) SLP Long Tube Header Downpipe Combo with High Flow Cat, and 2.5 inch SLP Loudmouth 2 Dual Outlet Exhaust

My goal is to break 300 whp...so I'm figuring the 3inch is the way to go...I just love SLP's products because I used a bunch of stuff from them on my old v6 camaro

Lemme know what you guys think

V6 camaro > I4

slp sounds very very different on a v6 then a I4....

also what about the zzp combo

or the JBP header and random tech downpipe?

So why do you need a 3 inch exhaust to break 300whp?

You don't all 3 inches is really good for is noise or turbo cars

i would say slp based on the options, i have never seen a bad product from them.

I will be going with the clear image header, i think that because it is a 4-2-1 header, it gives you more useable power (not just top end), but like i said, you want peak horsepower, go with the slp.

On the other hand, the vibrant is a nice piece to...

IMHO the SLP catback sounds like someone cut off their muffler and let it go at that . I really liked my SLP loudmouth on my Z28 , but their SS/SC CB sounds like a straight pipe .

I had a three inch, I replaced it because the sound got to be too much, the drone is terrible.

Well the noise isnt a problem for me at all...especially because the camaro was ridiculous

but is the 3inch really to much...because i keep reading that basically after liek 260-270 wheel the 2.5 is too restrictive

why would i pay 900 for saturn motorsports when i can find vibrants for under 700?

I've been listening to a couple more clips...and im narrowing it down to the Vibrant, Megan, and Ark...any opinions on these (for the catback that is...since im buying that first)

well a becuase its equal length. and i mean look at it it's a ******* RACE header they sell at a dealer..
b becuase you can buy it from ANY saturn dealer which kinda makes it a GM part. which mean's THEY CANT give you **** for aftermarket header/highflow cat AND a cat back. i dunno if you care about warrenty but if they sell it at a dealer they cant call it aftermarket.
and also guess what? since it's an exhaust part you can put it on your self. and one more thing if you think you need 3 inch piping to get 300 WHP on an LSJ your wrong. you need a turbo. or jus about the cost of going turbo in supporting mod's to make the SC dailydriver friendly. jus my .2cent's and opinion. and iw as also letting you know that there are other option's out there.

It's not so much the noise as the insane, resonance and drone that a 3 inch exhaust has.

Also you can get to 300whp without a turbo, it's call nitrous.

true but once you have the nos you need to have a way to monitor what's going on. so that's more supporting mod's.. and to the thread starter i know you werent attacking me. i was simply providing another exhaust option. may not have come across that way. i apologize.
