Heat Exchanger Review

Well first of all, the thing looks sick. Second....is I was suprised to be noticing a difference at WOT.

Here is my question. I didn't expect it to be anything noticeable at all. I really don't think it is my imagination. So tell me if this is correct.

The only thing I can think of why I would notice my car pulling harder is that my IATs were above 160. (The way that I understand it, when your IAT2 gets to 160 the LSJ ecu begins to hold the car back because it recognizes the danger). So I am thinking maybe I was at this mark, then after the h/e was installed I regained the power that my ecu had been restricting. This is how I understood the ecu to work.... I won't get in a pissing match with anyone so if this is incorrect , just say so!

1. Do you think my IAT2s were above 160
2. Is this theory feasable

Well I would say a 2.9 you would definitely see a benefit with cooling mods. So yes it's possible you felt a difference.

And if you have really hot weather or do back to back runs then your IAT2s could possible have been over 160.

Yea, I thought that the local temps were probably contributing to my mystery (South Alabama....well over 90 all day every day)

I have seen them over 200 with just 2 runs.
