Sounds like what happened to me, its because you cleaned the throttle body. Mine did the same thing when I cleaned it. You cant go over like 20% throttle or it will EPR. My cure was a new throttle body.

Why would cleaning the Throttle Body have this affect? When is the last time you changed your plugs.. What are your mods and also, what happened right before it started doing this... WOT pulls? Talk to me :P

sounds like it could be a leak between the blower and manifold?

2.8 60pound injectors, alot of inside engine work, header back exhaust no cat. and thats about it besides all the cooling mods i have.

I went outside to crank my car up and it cranked fine but after letting it sit for a minute the engine power reduced blinked and came on then i turned it back off and started it again and nothing happen but when i was leaving my house it happened again and i had to pull to the side of the road

I would say that either the throttle body or TB sensor got messed up or the MAF. Get the CEL read and that will tell you what the problem is.

are you able any ammount of normal opperation? even for 10 seconds? or as soon as you turn the key it faults?

reason being if its a fuse it would automatically blow the code. if it isnt it would request and wait for a response from the sensors b4 the code pops.

i highly doubt its a fuse. but if you think it might be then flip oen the engine bay fuse box and look at the map. use your judgment on what those may be on and replace it.

I really have no idea what it could be. i was just guessing. see im going to florida in a couple weeks and i cant have happening when i get down there. i seriously doudt its the throttle body. i cleaned that the other day and put it all back together and the engine light went off right there and it stayed off for a few days then today the problem started again. Im thinking its the connection piece that clips onto the throttle body connector

you wont notice when the MAF is dirty.

i would just cover all the bases.... clean the MAF, make sure the pins are not loose inside the coupler, same for the TB. other then that i would buy a new TB

and what do you mean with it cant be the TB because you cleaned it.... ive only ever cleaned the hard parts. Are you saying you opened the circuit side? if so what did you use to clean it with. and why

I had similar stuff happen to me, I took it to the dealer because I was still under warranty and they replaced my BARO sensor, and since then, my car has only done it a few times and its random since.

Somewhere between the MAF, BARO and O2 censors my A/F gets messed up and then it goes into limp mode until I can erase the code. I finally just bought a code scanner/eraser.

wouldnt the throttle body do the same thing?? it will cause it to go into limp mod if its not open when its supposed to be open? because the air fuel gets messed up right?

I'm not sure, but alot of other guys on here are say so. I've never taken my TB apart and cleaned it yet, I'll take a looksy at mine when I get it back from the dealer. I'm getting new synchros put in my trans now, and the parts are back ordered. About two weeks without my car right now, and I'm sad.
