You might actually have a dead cat stuck in the belt.. or could be a pulley

What was the last thing you did before that started happening? Mine made a similar sound when I was installing the dual pass and my friend who was helping didn't bolt the intake manifold all the way down.

If you don't see obvious signs of belt problems (you'd smell the rubber for sure) I'm gonna guess massive vacuum leak somewhere.

Bad bearing somewhere? That's what I have in the Olds, and until the aux fan kicks on, it's squeals like hell.

possible bearing/gears in the supercharger issue. does your supercharger have oil in it?

couldnt it just be the tb the sc wasnt messed with except for spray paint it didnt move til it went back on...all the gaskets are good i think

bump: new idea if my dualpass is hitting the oil thing barely could it be lifting the bottom of the intake off the gasket..the far right is completely compressed so i would think that part next to the oil filter would be mst likely to raise up and leak rather than the bottom. it sounds like it coming from the bypass valvve and tb area right in that 6x6x6 space if that makes since.

well kinda hard to tell but its horribly distorted sounds like metal vs metal dont think a vac leak howd it drive? any affect idling or cruising? rather, did u recentlr work around the serpentine n pulleys? particularly the supercharger pulley? sounds like the bearing failed

Take it out, take it to the vet to be put down
Sometimes cats will crawl up into car engines to keep warm
then get mangled by the belt when the engine is started.. but

Whoa, thats no cat in your engine. Sounds like a bearing or something isnt getting oil properly. Get a stethascop, or just use your ears and see if you can isolate where exactly that noise is comming from. But dont run the engine more the nesscary. If it is a bearing without lube youve got MAJOR Issues.

why would i have major bearing issue i changed nothing mechanical about the car and everyone just assumes its a bearing issue..i am clueless on superchargers oil what do i need to check in person it doesnt sound like that much metal to metal contact the vid accentuates it

intake and sc?? i would think that if the back intake manifold bolt went in okay that the manifold is all the way down...?

did you drive home like that lol

i think starting the engine loosened some of the intake manifold bolts i tightened the one closest to the dual pass and the sound is reduced.....i need to get a 1/4' swivel so i can get the the rest without taking the blower off or chipping my new paint on it. ill do it tonight after the MANCHESTER UNITED game and let u know what ahppens JHANS
