Yea, I had to hammer mine on too. The first time I didn't do that and ended up punching the crap out of my car. Needless to say I was pissed haha
I would suggest wearing a glove so you don't hurt yourself!!

Well mine fits a 15mm perfectly loose. lol. I would have to hammer a 14mm on there. Then it would stay there.

While I was getting my supercharger parts together, I read all of the horror stories of the belt and pulley installs and I decided since I spent 3G on getting all of the parts and stuff powder coated I might as well spend the money to get it. It works wonders.

Have someone help you and it shouldn't be bad. Have someone release the pressure while you get the belt on

alright we've been messing with this belt trying to get it on since 9am.
we can't get the tensioner to compress far enough down in order to slip the belt over the pulley.

I wish I had a picture of this, but if you have two buddies, try this:

Place your 15mm wrench on the tensioner.

Loop a rope through the hole at the end of the wrench and tie it, then loop it down through the black bracket on the alternator bracket (a point lower than the end of the wrench). Doing this makes it so that when you pull UP on the rope, it actually pulls DOWN on the wrench.

NOW, press down on the tensioner with your wrench, while your buddy pulls on the rope. Pulling on the rope essentially makes it so you dont lose any ground you've gained by pressing down on the tensioner, because its almost like an extra person pushing down with you. Gloves on the guy pulling the rope would definitely help.

While all of that is going on, have your other buddy put the belt on the pulley.

Hope this helps you, it saved my ass once. lol

Buy yourself a new tensioner. I had to deal with the same thing when I replaced my belt.
