hid issue

hid issue

so got my rtx hids in today, ran into 2 issues...frist my low beams were like oem bulbs and high were blue, so had to switch wires around and now my highs which are blue are now my low heheh tricking the ecu...other issue is my hids are staying on all the time and now working like stock auto lights

That's because you have to pull your driving light fuse, otherwise they are gonna act like your stock headlights.

It's under the hood and it will show on the underside of the panel. Not sure which fuse it is tho.

and you can look in the manual, it tells you everything with the fuses in there

They should work already. Im a 06 and my HID's come on when there on the auto setting. theirs something else wrong.

I have no idea, were your headlights there self just on? or was everything on like your headlights, marker lights, license plate light etc.

dezzie, go to a dealership and ask them to disable your DRL. Dealerships have a device that can turn the system off. However, if they are dicks they may not do it because its by law u have to have DRL. The 3 dodge dealerships around me all CAN do it, but said they wouldnt. Here is a diagram i used on my truck, it should be the same thing for your lights. It will make your highbeams come on at a lower output for DRL, then when u turn your lights on for night driving, your lowbeams will turn on and if need be, your highbeams will work normal.

And here was the outcome after i did the wiring



just buy 2 relays from canadian tire, they r like $8 each.

how long did it take to do cause i wanna wire my high beams to be on with the fogs, which i know how to do, its just wiring relays into that harness

Took me about 30mins to do each headlight. Was doing it while i was watching JAG...lol. It's really easy to do. Hardest part was running the red wire to the battery because i wanted it out of sight for a clean look.
