Don't put HID's in your stock housings. Do a search, there's a gazillion threads.

all kits that you would pnp into your stock housing are pretty much the same quality wise. Retros are really the best way to go but are expensive unless you do it yourself.

Not it won't. Your thinking of the aftermarket projectors, which spidercrack due to high heat. HIDs run cooler than halogens, they help prevent the cracking.

Hope you have money for when you cause an accident because you blinded someone because of your plug and play hids and they turn around and sue you. Do a retrofit...

I have pnp HID bi-xenon headlights in my sunfire. They arent too much brighter than some of the stock BMWs or Lexus'. So could they sue BMW as a manufacturer or someone who buys a BMW? I highly doubt it.

I made mine from scratch and from my stock housing and used xenon projectors and bulbs so I have no input on what it would do to your stock housing... So I would be interested to hear some legit feedback.

Klloyd would you mind taking some pics or something?

were talking about hids in reflectors vs projectors here. You put them in projectors, that's the safe, correct way of doing it.

If someone posts pics, knowing everyone on here, they'll either show the beam pattern 2 ft from a wall, or show it looking at the car at standing height.

To do a correct beam pattern shot, park 20ft from a wall and take the pic, or go get in another car (realistic height) and park at least 15ft from your car looking straight at it and take a pic, and tell me there's no glare at all.

It's not about the light output that YOU get while driving. It's about the glare that other drivers see when they catch your headlights in their vision. Which is why nobody is "suing" anyone with projectors.

If they are aimed correctly there should be no issue.

Everybody is going to bicker back and forth, the people with no class are going to put them in their stock housings and say they're not blinding people either because they're too stupid to realize they are OR they are in denial.

And now I'm going to put on my flame suite because for whatever reason, people on the internet take offense to things that are written that contradict their backwards beliefs; Especially this forum where they have to share their disapproval with four letter words because if they shared their feelings anywhere else their moms will spank them.

And judging by the above, it would appear I've had too much to drink

i have had both retrofits and stock lights with HIDs in an while i know the cutoff on retros has a purpose, the stock lights do not scatter light EVERYWHERE like you guys are saying. i havent gotten flashed once with my HIDs in stock housings, and there isnt a a bad amount of glare at all when pointing at a wall with them..

Im all for saying go retro, but if your on a budget i can and will say that our headlights take well to HIDs stock and dont glare horribly! i cant say the same for other headlights though
