High flow cat on factory down pipe
Has anybody put a high flow cat on the factory dp,and if so with good results?

I welded and hifh flow vibrant cat onto my factory downpipe and ran a mendral bend to the flange to get rid of the crimped o2 part. It worked good, but the car kept throwing codes because the cat wasn't doing it's job properly.

I have a magnaflow cat waiting to be installed,so should i have it installed or go another route?Oh and what did you end up doing?

This seems like a lot of work for little gain, the stock downpipe is a big bottleneck, better off just getting a catted 2.5 downpipe and just bolt it on, you can do it yourself

the factory cat is an odd size, that can't just be replaced.
for the time and expense, something like the random technologies cat seems like a deal to me.
