high flow cat heat shield?

has anyone taken off the heat shield thats on their magnaflow high flow cat? is it even possible? I have the zzp 3in with high flow cat and the heat shield on the cat vibrates against the body and it's really starting to annoy me. usually does it when downshifting or at high rpm. I'm taking it off soon to put a angled O2 bung on it because it throws a code. I am debating on taking the heat shielf off when i do that. input..........

I have the zzp 3in also and removed the heat shield I am pretty sure its fine. If you want just grab two 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hose clamps and some heat wrap and wrap up your down pipe. This will keep the exhaust nice and hot and moving very quickly. I have even heard of people doing that to most of their mid piping. Just gotta watch out for water otherwise you will be replacing it a lot...
