High milage question!!!

New to this site. When is a good time to rebuild for performance. looking at a lsj with 143000 miles and im wanting to start adding mods as soon as i get it. should i rebuild it first?

Depends on the previous owner really.
I have 147k and it runs like new still.

damn im almost at 75 and i think its alot on my lsj
but i mean i would look at the clutch mainly the engine could be really good

if the motor is dead stock i wouldnt hesitate to mod it. i first would do some matinance so you know its been done and its all good. id change the coolant, intercooler coolant, supercharger oil, and confirm the intercooler pump is actually working (they have a high failure rate).

i know the 2.2l ecotec has proven itself to be a good high mileage motor, with the extra beef of the lsj i doubt it would be any different.
