Horible drive-ability at times....

Well as the title says i've came across a few drive ability issues as of late.

i got the car staged with my 2.9 and it ran great for the most part....now i've steped down to a BF 2.7

when i run the car out and take it to the awesome 7k redline thro 1st,2nd and into 3rd the car gets a little weird.

when i go to rev to down shift theres what seems like a lag but it harsh and sounds totaly differant then normal.

it doesnt thro a code all the time but when it does i get a p0103 code wich is a MAF sensor code.

this happens every time i drive it like that with the 2.7 and some times but not that offten with the 2.9

any ideas whats causeing this?...do i need to go to an even colder plug?...re-gap them?....

or is it finaly time for a ECU tune?????

never ran into this problum with the car before i got it staged flashed.

nawwww....

stock belt yes but the tensioner has been replaced by a 78mm tensioner...its also a flat pully not groved so its a true 78mm.....

good idea tho.

from what i've been able to gather the answer is in the code...

p0103 is a MAF fault...to high freq so the ECU stops useing it to take incomeing air mesurements thus leading to a crapy runing car.

i just wanted to see what people on hear thought....a tune will fix things.

any body else got any ideas????

I don't own a SS/SC, but from what I've read on the forums, it seems like it's time for you to get an ECU tune. Seems dangerous to be running that much of a smaller pulley without a tune. Your mod list says you're running Stage 1 (GM stage 1?) injectors. You have a lot more air coming in from that pulley, are those injectors big enough?
