I have a couple friends who have turbo set ups on their cars both are Scion Tc's and they each spent alittle over 5k on them.. Not saying that will be the same for the cobalt but they spent about 3K on the set up and around 2k for install.. hope that helps at all...

He will also need some major supporting mods

Axles, Clutch, ETD, mounts maybe, A full exhaust. The little things add up

I would expect to pay around 8k like ^ said. If you performed the labor yourself and tried to save a little money (use a T3/T4 instead of a GT30) then you might be able to get the setup and supporting mods for around 5K, maybe a little less if you were thrifty.

These numbers are not facts, I'm giving you an estimated price based on projects that have been done on other cars. If I were you I would have it in my mind that it will cost alot so that it won't suprise you later.
