3" would be good if you had some 300whp mods, do you plan on it?

Maybe if you had a 2.6" pulley, 60# injectors and a tune, but right now i don't think you're quite cutting it

run 3" dude it will be fine but dont buy an exhaust just go to a local exhaust shop and have them make you a custom catback all you need to do is buy the muffler(magnaflow) and your set..will save you like 350-400 bucks

2.5" and you dont need 3" exhaust for 300whp on our cars bc we are NOT turbo

2.25 would be good up to over 300hp and a 2.5 should be fine for up to 500hp after that you can dip into a 3" there was a chart posted earlier lemme see if I can find it

you should just drop the idea of a 3". keep all of your torque and gain a bit more plus gain a good amount of hp in return, this is the image posted earlier in a different exhaust thread

ok well i already have the 3'' dp with high flow cat. and this chart isnt just for the LSJ motor. this is an overall chart. some vehicals dont need a whole lot of back pressure because they are not EGR.

its a better idea of what to expect though. if your ready to spend some dough a 3" would be a good way to spend a good chuck of change

so then i should just get the gmpp and use the 3'' dp? if i do that where do i get a good tip?

but the vibrant cat back is cheaper than the magnaflow and the vibrant is a 3''? so would i see a positive gain, or would i be lossing power... any gain over stock is good, i jsut dont want to lose anything.

so i guess what i'm asking is here is two things i can do. i can get the vibrant cat back and go 3'' from header dp back, or i can run a 3'' dp and go to a 2.5'' cat back.

ok but what should i do? the 3'' all the way back. or the 3'' dp to the 2.5'' cat back? either one i can do, if i go 3'' it will be vibrant, if i go 2.5 it will be gmpp.

the gmpp is not 2.5 its 2.25. your choice should be based on where you will eventually be as your go on and keep modding. if you do a sc'er swap maybe a 3 would be good just to mate up to the 3" dp

ok so i'm going to go with the gmpp 2.25'' cat back and mate it up to the 3'' dp, shouldnt be to big of a problem, the 3'' can mate with 2.25''. and my back pressure shouldnt be a problem right, since i'm bringing the 3'' down to a 2.25?

Dude, you asked the same question 5 times. Forget the 3" exhaust, you won't see **** for gains, its overkill. the LSJ is not a 454,
