HP prediction

My mods are in my sig. After the gm dual pass option B, Heat exchanger, and colder plugs installed....I plan on 60's and a tune. With a safe tune how much hp do you think I would hit? You think I could get close or above 280? I would have basically full intake/exhaust with 2.9 and 60's. I imagine the cooling will help when I get tuned because they could probably tune slightly more aggressive. I want to be careful not to get too much so I don't have to worry about my clutch, internals, axles etc...

245-250. You won't get that much more out of it.

Read his sig carefully, he said his 241whp pull was on just stg 2 and a cai. Now he's got a 2.9, a 2.5" exaust, dp, headers and is putting on a h/e and dual-pass, 60's and a tune. Theres no way all that is only gonna give him 5 or 10 whp

Rephrase your question:

"With the following mods, how much HP over stock will I be at?"

People are running all kinds of differnt #'s with just stg2 depending on what dyno, how hot it is, ect... Some people are running as low as 22x whp and some like this guy are running 24x whp. I just cant belive that that many mods will only give him 5 or 10 whp, maybe if your mods put you at 245-250, your car might've been running less on just stg2? for example if you were running 230whp and gained 15-20whp, then he could expect to go from 240 to 255-260. Do you see what I'm trying to get at?

it all depends on what dyno you go to, plain and simple. Its good to go to the same dyno whenever you put mods on and see your increase.

guessing is irrelevant it all depends on the dyno guys. Some dynos read high, some read low, and some are average. Dyno sheets mean nothing, its the times you get at the 1/4mile or auto crossing that do!

agreed. i've always said that dynos mean nothing and are 100% worthless except for tuning. they're not accurate at all when it comes to hp #'s.

all those mods and you guys only think about 250-260? damn. Guessing is relevant maybe not exact but ballpark, if a dyno reads high it doesn't mean the car is that high, if it reads low, the same. I think from others experience you could average out to get some sort of idea.

so what do you think he'd run?

somewhere between mid 13's and high 14's. again, no point in guessing.

hp doesnt dictate 1/4mile times either. Most of the people on this site can't even run what the magazines say the ss/sc can run. Hell I know stage 2 people that can't run what the mags say a stock ss/sc can run. The problem is, people these days just don't know how to drive.

Just because you have 300whp, doesn't mean you are going to break into the 14s, 13s, 12s, or 11s, or 7s. It is all in the driver.

I am not saying that a driver with a 200hp car can hit 9s, but I am saying that a professional driver with a 250whp car can hit 12s when a noob with a 250whp car will hit mid 14s.

StageII, airbox mod and gmpp exhaust and mani, I pulled 246hp and 226tq. I pulled 267hp and 241tq after getting tuned on a dynojet with my 2.9, same stageII 42's. So if that was the highest reading so to speak, and the mustang dyno is about a 12% difference? 267/1.12 = 238.4. Quite a range just based on the dyno.

the dyno that i use, with the mods in my sig with NO tune except the gm stage 2 tune, i hit 260-270whp roughly. So some people think my dyno is a "happy" dyno. I am not disagreeing just saying what the sheets tell me.

tomorrow the heat exchanger is being installed and were doing a few dyno runs. Then shortly after that i will be getting a tune for the meth, 60lbers, and 2.8inch pulley. So I would say like july 15th or so i will be tuned.

really? thats exactly what I anted from this thread...somebody with basically the same mods to tell me what they got. I understand every car is different and the only way to really guess is to have a similiar setup. Man, If I get 255 there's gonna be somebody dying. I'll let ya'll know what I get but straight up, I expect 265-280 with it. 60's with a 2.9, full intake and exhaust, cooling, and a tune......I'd be pissed.

you're setting yourself up for failure and disapointment, big time. how did you come up with 265-280? are you just guessing? no way you'll get that.
