Hp Tuners
Hp Tuners
Alright guys I need your help....I installed a Stage II on my Redline and am going to be installing a 2.85 pulley next week. Because of this new pulley I need to be tuned with HP tuners and the guy told me it might be 50 bucks an hour to do a custom tune so if you guys have a pre made tune for my car that would be great because that would save me a hell of alot of money. Thanks!!!!

flatten the timing table out, bring it down to 17 degreee's and work up from there.
being the pe table up to a level deal, not the mountain range that gm has. it takes all of 30 mins to get it dialed in with a couple road tests.

Yeah that sounds like a good way of doing it.
I was being serious. It allows you to take advantage of the previous tuning that GM did to produce good driveability for daily driving and then only adjust what needs to be adjusted to gain your power; it's like starting with a template.
it seems to work to a degree. well on the 42 cars it does. i have not had experience with 60 cars yet, so i can not say if it would work on that or not. the end product, depending on the car is usually beyond that, and can get kinda hairy depending on what the motor likes
I would say put the pulley on and go log with HP tuners and see where and if your getting K/R and go from there rather then flattening the the timing curve and then starting from scratch. I understand the concept of doing that but I honestly believe if you do that its going to make for alot of re work. be sure to save your current tune on your car fotr worst case senario and id invest in a wideband AFR unit. if your running 42LB injectors watch that injector duty cycle. just my 2 cents good luck.

if you ramp the timing in say from 15 degrees at load cell 1.00 to 1.08 and slowly add timing in. in .5 incriments or .25 depending on how exact you want it. you will have a better chance of running higher timing levels up top then just loading in 20 all the way across.
if you add water injection to this table, that whole thought process goes out the window and you just get silly with it. to a degree. do not mess with the PE table without a wideband. because what you command is not always what the engine wants to run.
as far as monitoring idc's this is fine and dandy on the 05-06. the 07's it is read different for some odd reason.
