Hydrashield / Dryflow cover?

I recently put the k&n typhoon on but it didn't come with a filter. I put on my dryflow filter and when I went to clean it I noticed a little water getting past the splash guard. I was just wondering how many people use the hydashield (injen) or dryflow (k&n) on their filters. I am assuming air goes through them just fine but will block all water. I was looking to buy one but everywhere I saw they were like 25 bucks. Anyone know which I should look into getting, the injen or k&n, for my 5" x 3" dryflow filter? Thanks alot.

Someone has to use one.

I got the injen hydroshield. It works great to me and it doesn't effect performance. $25 is about the average you're going to pay unless they're on sell or group buy.

Ok that is good to hear. I just thought for that little thing it would be cheaper. The filter for the k&n is 6" long and my dryflow is 5 so I hope that doesn't matter if I get a k&n cover. I was just wondering who was the cheapest for them.

They look to be a decent price. I just don't know what size I would need. I know the filter is 5" x 3".

That is why I'd like one, just some reassurance. Just incase any water did get in there. I'll have to pick one up, just not sure on the size and if I want a k&n or injen.

I saw yours but they were like 25 bucks. I am assuming there is shipping on top of that too? I couldn't give a crap about the color, who sees it. I was just gonna shop around to see if anyone beats ya, if not I am coming your way. I am assuming the K&N and Injen are bascially the same? Will they work for a 5" aem dryflow filter?

I use the Injen hydro shield and live in Washington State where it seems to rain A LOT, and I have had no problems. It does its job and gives you the piece of mind.

I took my K&N one off, it was caked full of dirt inside and was causing a bogging condition when driving in heavy rain, I think it was holding water on the inside as well and waterlogging the filter. I took it off and haven't had a problem since.
