i have no speedometer

i changed my clutch the other day and when i started driving i noticed my speedometer wasnt moving at all. and also noticed that the odometer wasnt adding any ore miles. a little later on down the road my dash flashed "power steering" and my check engine light came on. i got it read at an autozone and they said the speed sensor has bad connection.

i have an 06 cobaltss, can anyone help me figure out where the speed sensor is? or if thats the problem.

I would guess seeing as you just did the clutch, that you have either not connected the vss signal connector in the trans, or put the back up lite connector into that plug and vice versa...top of trans beside drivers side motor mount (rev. lite switch) and beside it (sort of) VSS signal

the one on my tranny is connected, the one for the vss is that right in the front of the car in the middle? cause if so i can see two connectors but i dont see the sensor itself it looks like those wires run back further and i cant reach it from the top.

There are two connectors. reverse lite and vss. top of trans. Cobalt. Redline is different.

it was a sensor thats right on to of the tranny, not the one that points straight upwards but it is parallel to the ground and points in the direction of the passenger seat.

if you look left of the fuse box and then move the other wiring harnesses you should see it. youll probly need a flashlight.

i feel really dumb for not noticing it before. but yeah unplug it and you wont put any miles on the odo lol
