I went and got some gas and then i was pulling out the gas station i got on the gas... as soon as i did my gas sort of jumped and stalled... but it wasnt a normal stall it sort of jumped up and down... it was weird... Then it stalled all the way and wouldnt start at all... I waited about 5 minutes and then it started up... But now my supercharger sounds weird and my check engine light is on... It was driving ok but the supercharger just doesnt sound right... Any ideas???

 

Strange mine did that the other day too at the gas station.

It was doign a strange high rev, almost stalling idle.

Everything is normal on my part though...

You still got warranty on it?

your intake shouldn't cause that.

take it in, and if they say anything about the intake, make them prove it.

 

could it be any internal ****??? The engine seems to be running ok

 

mine did that **** once, but it was something to do with the fuel cutoff, and it was fine after i turned it back on. you may have just had a misfire code, but then again, with the SC sounding weird, you may want to have it checked out.

take it in eric. If they try to tell u it's ur intake they r stupid and like will said tell them to prove it. May of got a bad batch of gas? Same thing happened to me and it was simp;ly diagnosed as bad gas but idk in ur case

 

hm. have you pooped the hood? check to make sure you didn't slip the belt. it shouldn't, but the engine runs really rough when it jumps around and stalls. you still have the stock mounts, so that movement could have been pretty extreme.

take it to the dealer tomorrow if it doesn't get any better. first though Eric, go to autozone and have the codes read, they do it for free, and it couldn't hurt.

 

plus it was weird guys like when i thought it stalled i tryed to pop the clutch cuz i was still moving and my rpms jumped and then dropped and thats when it finally stalled

yeah i will... i am just worried they will say something about my intake

 

yeah, sounds like fuel issues, not so much bad gas as delivery, and that just happens, but popping the clutch may have stalled it.

where'd you get gas? and be honest, did you rev it up and then try to go?

haha, yeah, fuel cutoff. it's happened to me before. some guy asked to hear the SC, i revved it out a little, then went togo, and i didn't get on it, but i accelerated strongly, and it stalled out. the fuel system has issues sometimes.

shell is good gas, hmm. doesn't sound like the gas itself.

 

and the supercharger? could i just be hearing ****? Its boosting ok still....

 

yeah, nothing has popped loose? you're ears aren't playing tricks on you? haha. i'm the same way when it comes to my car, i freak at the littlest thing. pop the end of your intake off and look at the TB, and down the tube, just make sure there's nothing in there. any noise other than it's just, not as loud?

hm. look inside, have the codes read, let us know what's up, and if all else fails take it to the dealer. if that fails, get the stock airbox and take it to a different dealer.

 

will they record it like the service?

 

they may, but unless they actually do any work, i don't think so.
