I go to leave and as soon as i hit 5 mph it says engine power reduced and the car shuts off the engine is bogging and its fucked up what do you guys think happened? it was fine when i dropped it off but now its all fucked up. the garage is closed for the nite and doesnt open till 8 what did they do it? what do you guys think is wrong? it was fine when i dropped it off last nite....

To get to the oil filter in the ss/sc you have to reach through a bunch of stuff. Make sure they didn't pull off a wire or mess up the hoses. Check the oil and make sure they actually put it back in knowing gm work lol. While you are at it make sure it looks new because they have before just reset the life and not touched the oil if it looks ok. Make sure the intake is still connected well too.

no i got a jeep dealership that has been doing my oil changes on the ss/sc since ive had it friends of the family for longer than ive been alive (20 years) haha so they know what there doing to the car. It pisses me off cuz it was fine when i dropped it off and im ready to ******* kill someone rite now, does it sound like it could be something big? the only thing that worries me is it says engine power reduced then shut off

look around in your engine bay and see if anything looks wierd...does it have oil in it?? also it could possibly be a clogged cat that just randomly started causing problems like mine did

QFT, i take mine to a lube shop and talk them through the process, sometimes i even help them when they can't figure out how to get the filter cap off.

Well, if the engine thinks something is wrong, anything is possible, so yes, that could be and probably IS the reason.

Thats strange because the dealership actually charges me less then the lube shops for an oil change with Mobile 1.

my dealership charges 80 bucks for an oil change with mobil 1. and the garage i go to is 20 bucks for oil change 10 bucks to rotate tires if i supply my own oil so its a hell of a lot cheaper
