I'm rich bitch!!!

OK got the aem uego intstalled and im running a 10.9 a/f ratioe at 7 rpm at wot. I have a stage1 with 2.85 I thought that was a bit unusual with the pulley being borderline maxing things out and people blowing up. Also this isnt a fluke becaue silverss had same exact mods and gauge and had same results. So am i safe? should i get tuned? Anyone else see the same thing?

Well that sounds a little rich to me I think mine was tuned in at around 11.6 to 11.8 but I would say you are fine, but there is nothing wrong with a tune for your car it will only help you. Wait until a cooler night and then see what it reads you might be surprised.

I don't know what all your mods are but I would also recomend an intake as that will lean you up a bit as well as get you more hp and better gas mileage (if you keep your foot of the gas peddle).

Do you have any exhaust mods? Are you running colder plugs?

I'm running rich like that too. This Saturday I get tuned again.

It's something in the tune. Try and get a good tune, that should do it.

that afr is typical of a gm stage tune. however it doesnt mean you are completely safe. you need to check your injector duty cycles to see if the 2.85" is maxing out your injectors.
i vote get a tune. more power can be had and you will know just how "safe" you are.

Realize the Gm Tune is a year-round tune, which means it is safe! you will not tear the car up on this tune. How often do you hear of people damaging pistons on a stock gm flash? Never. The people who are having piston troubles are tuning it themselfs for more power and risking reliability.

Nick, you have seen what a tune does (duys car) and a very good tuner tuned it. [look who he got beat by]. Spend the money else where. That Gm tune is so safe, ive seen people spray a little 50 shot and be fine without touching the timing, refer to the user "zinner" on here.

I've got GM stage 1/2 tune with a 2.79" pulley and I'm running rich as hell... I don't have a Wideband installed yet... but my bumper around the tailpipe is blacker than Charlie Murphy... so I know I'm rich too!

i see you have an aftermarket exhaust, just b/c your bumper is black doesnt mean your "safe and running rich" never go off that, but im sure you knew that.

i like the charlie murphy comment. "Darkknessss!!!!"

dont believe what you read on forums, especially off this one, with many uneducated teenagers giving advice on cars when they have had a license for 2 years. Your correct on your "good points" but not every car has the same "good point, or sweet spot for that Air Fuel" Cobalts do run rich from the factory, start modding them and things can change, be careful guys.

typed Air Fuel Ratio into Google. This should give you more info than anyone here can:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air-fuel_ratio

Narrowband or Wideband?

In your PE mode you would probably want mid to high 11's in your AFR......VE Mode with out any heavy load or boost, you would want around 14.7 or so..

you shouldve stayed.

He was trying to tell me that his intake and step 1 colder plugs dropped his IAT by 12 degrees. I was like::Well hows that possible, how did you determine a 12 degree drop? And he told me b.c of his coolant temp. i was speechless at that point....

I later asked him hows that possible when plastic dissapates heat better then metal? , gotta love um!

im down to go **** with some stupid noobs whenever, so let me know
