I'm Torn between mods!!!

Hey guys, we just had our big dyno day. (over in General Cobalt) and man I am so torn between what I want now. So please help me. I am saving currently for the stage 2 kit..Key word SAVING. It's gonna be winter time before I can get it. But since I drove the stage 2, with the engine and tranny mounts I was like OOOOOHHHHH YEAAAAHH lol. Man I really don't know what I want..please help!

So please give me your advice and experiences and yes I am on the conservative side too.$$$$

get your stage 2 parts separately. meaning, buy you a 2.9 and hub, 60's or 42's (your preference), a stage 2 belt (CED), and a tune. it'll be cheaper than a gm stage 2..

considering how you punish your ride you need the mounts first...might save you from repairing some broken parts down the road

trust me, after about a month you think back and say "Why did I buy GMII?" Cuz youll look at the money you spent and know what you could have instead with the same cash. With how much I spent on stage II plus install I could probably be around 265-270whp...

I'm just judging by what I saw in the engine bay, and if you push your car...and I know you do.....somethings gonna give sooner or later...that's all, not saying you drive too hard, just saying stock mounts suck for "aggressive" driving

Yeah..the engine bay is very dirty. And yes I'm sure the stockers suck...that's why I really wanna do the mounts first..your car was amazing though man, loved the feel. BTW the engine bay is so dirty because of all the construction I'm around. I cleaned her up though, I'll take pics. And Chad's coil cover looks AWESOME.

Yeah, I was thinking really hard on that for a while. Man, I just don't know. I really need to save the money up for everything. You have done all cooling mods first though? That's an awesome 1/8 mile run! I ran an 8.90 at best in my '00 Trans Am with a lid.

I'm with ralli. Cooling mods and tuning. Get a heat exchanger and a dual pass end plate before going with a smaller pulley. Not only will it help with keeping IAT2s down (increasing performance), it aids in the life of your engine since you apparently drive it hard... Once you do that, then get you a smaller pulley and larger injectors. Install those parts and have it tuned. You'll enjoy it.

yeah, if anyone has mods in their list..the mounts are always in them. I think that's what I'll do.. And then some cooling mods, and THEN stage 2. And When the warranty wears off, I'll head for a nate pulley! Please guys keep it coming.

I wasn't saying it was dirty, I was referring to the engine moving around so much.

Nate's pulley can be taken on and off withing min, same with the stock stage 2. So if you have any problems and need to back to the dealer you can just swap back to the stage 2 and will be your little secrete. As far as people saying the stg 2 kit isn't worth it and you will regret it I don't know about all of that. I don't regret it one bit. Could I of made more power with a custom kit sure but I still would like to keep my warranty due to my circumstances. I think for the $450 kit and $180 for the install it was well worth it for me.
