haha, IM happy w/ a supercharger, its my daily driver, so going any further just isnt worth it.

I put some new spark plugs in, and reset my computer. Car runs great. I couldnt fully test it as it rained today, but I got 0 knock pretty much from 0-7000 RPM's. Every once and a while I would see a 0.3 or something, but that was it.

After adding the new header it really showed me how badly I need new tires. I have my Nero-MS's in the closet, I will be putting them on soon.

I used to get a lot of pops in my exaust. They have reduced about 75%. It actually was pretty kool, I miss them, but my car feels more smooth everywhere now, so I can definately tell the header was a positive install.

Everything seems kool now. Very little to no knock. 70% of the time, I can rev to 7000K and see 0.0 knock the whole time. Sometimes though, I will see a 0.3 or 0.7. I supose thats normal. Yo when you in limp mode, you see massive knock! just FYI.

I do have a weird noise like a tick that comes from my car when I first start it up. I tightened the 4 bolts I could reach on the header and its super tight. I think may be loose bolts where the header connects to the flex pipe, so I will be checking that when I can get my car up on jack stands. other then that its perfect. Raced my bro a few times, and pulled on him ever so slightly in the top end. Raced a 6.0 GTO today too, (if you can call it a race) hung with him through all of second gear, and we had to let off. He actually took a little head start. After that he acted like he didnt want any more. I mean I was cruising next to him trying to egg him on, I mean even if he went first, I could have atleast seen where I stood, but nope, wouldnt race me.

LOL...

Its called weight transfer... your tires never left the ground man.

Its not like your car is rear wheel drive with slicks and 400hp.

or you could try a good tire, once you get some good tire I would also rethink why your clutch slips..try lift throttle shifts and not power shifting...other then that..nice trap speed...you just need to get the short time down....to like a 2.0,that would put you damn near a 13 flat-good luck

First things first... Lose is spelled with one "o". Loose is an entirely different word all together.

Second, spinning IS different than lifting a tire OFF the ground and I am very happy that you understand that now. Make sure you get that knock taken care of asap.

And for some reason I thought you had an Ion, not that it matters but I told some guys over on another board that you had an Ion and not a Cobalt... Man I feel silly.

Reality check, please report to the CobaltSS forum. Thank you.

Your car has 250 hp. Your car is front wheel drive. Do you understand physics?

(Yes, I joined just to say that. I think that makes me a troll. )

Wow, this thread has gotten way of topic...

First off

I am Xenozx and Drive an 06 SS/SC

My bro is Cvenom2122 and drives an 04 Ion Redline.

This is very easy to realize as all you have to do is LOOK at the picture in our sigs....

Secondly

My brother is fully aware of physics, and he more or less over exagerated with his wheels coming off the ground. Hopefully you understand physics, and can comprehend his intention of saying:

"When I go from a dig and take off the engine lifts up and helps pull weight off the front wheels which in turn cause me not to grip and in turn cause wheelhop/spin. He wasnt saying he was doing a wheelie the whole way down the track. He was just saying that grip wise his tires dont fully grip the ground because of all the power hes putting down and how light his 2700 car is.

So please, dont jump all over my bro just because you can comprehend what he meant. I think it would have been better to ask for him to clarify instead of jumping on his ***** and swinging from them.

Thanks.

p.s. We are on a forum, and it is common place for words to be misspelled. I am a big culprit of that. Sorry, this is not a college mid term exam, and I am not being graded for it, so dont expect Essay equivelent writing and format from anyone here.

Here is an idea. Install one drag bag on the driver side rear and put 500 pounds on the passenger side (seat and trunk). Them film the launch using these mods. I'm sure the driver side front tire would be damn close to coming off the ground!

if you put 500 lbs to get a wheel up youd probably snap off an axel, both cars look quick, but to pull a wheel up eesh i dont know about that, beside my cobalt i have a 95 Z28 on a 300 shot (no exagerating its a 2 stage NOS wet kit 1st stage is a 125 2nd is a 175) and i dont even come close to pulling the wheels.
