You can probably get them to idle a little more rough if you wanted to. I'm happy with how smooth they are though. Although I haven't put much time into messing with it since I don't feel like wasting too much effort playing with the 80's if I'm taking them out in a week.

How would you make them idle rougher? Get it to idle lower or what?

Timing tables, idle speed, scaler (mainly to achive desired timing). I prefer just about as smooth as possible.

on his car the nut on the turbo that holds the blades backed out and the fins of the turbo smacked the housing of the turbo.

But ill probably be ripping my turbo off my car to give him since its the same one and my car isnt looking like its going to start anytime soon

Yep, I was driving it saturday night to put some miles on it, and did a couple pulls on 10 lbs. Went to do one in 2nd and borught it to about 7500, then slowly shifted to 3rd and got back in it and had no boost but a weird noise. Limped it to the shop and checked the charge piping and it was all connected. Pulled off the intake and tried to spin the wheel and it was tough and I could feel the blades were a little messed. I looked and the reverse thread nut was almost at the end of the threads and must have allowed the wheel to walk outward and hit the housing and tear everything up. I emailed ZZP to see what BW will have to say about it, so I'll probably pull the turbo off tonight. Cody (paintballerr) is going to hook a brotha up and let me borrow his turbo so I can get some miles on my setup while we tackle his car and figure out the issues with the CPS correlation. A little bummed because it was 60* yesterday and nice all week, but its early enough so I'm not too upset. We will see how it is handled, but I am not too worried about it. I know that ZZP can only do as much as Borg Warner will do, so we will see what they are thinking here soon!

Heading up to Paintballerr's place about 110 miles away tonight to pick up his turbo to use for the time being. Got mine off last night. Doesn't look like anything got in the turbo because the leading edges of the blades are perfect, and the blades are still untouched in the little surge port slit. It just looked like the wheel was able to moveup and down enough to touch the housing and tear things up. It doesn't have any slop in the shaft at all though, so I am at a loss. All I know is the nut is really loose.

If that nut is loose wouldn't that let the blades come forward like trying to get out of the housing?

Thats kind of what I was thinking, that it let it "walk" out on the shaft.

Got Cody's s259et last night, and will be putting it on tonight. Sending mine into Bullseye for warranty today or tomorrow. Also ordered my tires yesterday. Toyo Proxes R888 245/40/17 all around.

I went back and forth between keeping my old 235/45 NT555's on the back and getting the 245/45 NT555R's for the front, but I didn't want such a tall tire and I saw that most guys really liked the R888 for an all around (straight line too) tire and they were getting some decent tread life out of them on the street.

That might be the route I go, sucks I'm still going to be on stock rims though.

Glad you were able to swap turbos though!
