Which injectors do I have? Do I have GM stage 2?

Hey all. I am the recent proud owner of a 2007 SS S/C. I'm trying to figure out if the previous owner had the GM stage 2 kit put on. This is from a ZZ Performance tech article "The stock 33# injectors are bright green in color and the 42# injectors are the same shape, but are black in color.". I noticed there is a 77.9 pulley installed and the injectors are black. I was able to get a number off one of them, they appear to be Bostech MP3014s. But, I can't find anything that tells me if a MP3014 is a 42# injector or what! I am also wondering if there is a way to know if they had the "GM" performance tune installed along with the Stage 2 kit - if that is in fact what I am looking at.

Thanks in advance!
-Tony

Is the redline set at 7K? If it's below 7000 or above 7000, then you don't have the GM Stg2 tune. If it does, you MIGHT have the GM Stg2 tune. The only way to verify that you have the official GM Stg2 tune is to either have someone that knows what they're looking for with HPTuners check it, or to have a dealership check it. They should be able to just check the database based on your VIN and tell you, but I can't remember for sure what all information it actually shows them.

Are the bolts holding the pulley on blue in color and have a weird star-like shape to them (it's an anti-tamper pattern meant to make removal a royal PITA)?

That Bostech number doesn't look or sound right. That seems to cross-reference to be a 1980's 2.8L V6 injector - which definitely would not be that large of a flow, either.

Thanks for the reply @USMCFieldMP it's definitely not the green injectors. Damn thing has been sitting in my driveway since 6/30! I had to make an appointment to get plates and that's two weeks away. I will most certainly check if the redline is at 7K. I figure eventually I'll dig in there and see what those injectors really are, for now I'm just cleaning things up.

Thanks again,
-Tony

Oh and also "Are the bolts holding the pulley on blue in color and have a weird star-like shape to them (it's an anti-tamper pattern meant to make removal a royal PITA)?"

Yes, they are that type ...

Okay, that, imo, pretty much guarantees that it is a GM Stage 2. Those bolts came with the GM kit; no one else would use them. I've never even seen that style bolt or drive bit used anywhere else. They're a royal PITA to remove. Even worse, I'd imagine, after having been in there for almost a decade or more.

EDIT: I did manage to find some very similar in their design. Also looks like GM is starting to, or has experimented with using, anti-tamper bolts on emissions equipment. Dicks.

Don't forget a bolt can't hold if it's a liquid...
