I didn't look too much into it, but apparently the intake was designed to operate within factory limits of the afr.

I have had my CEL pop on twice. This has been after a period of very spirited driiving and high boost with very cold temps. It is never on for long and all it takes is some conservative driving to get it to go away. I would literally drive 10 miles staying out of the boost and maybe 2 startups later the light is out.

I think this is just a way for our cars to tell us that the injectors aren't ready to handle too much more air in the high rpms....

I still hope to get on the dyno friday but money and time are not in my favor right now.

As for fit, it is tight in the fenderwell but it doesn't push anything out that i have noticed...

Ok, I went and did the dyno run. Froze my bum off too. The boost increased, from 12.4 to 12.9. The HP went up to 219.9. Not a 8hp increase like I was thinking, but the increased air flow and boost levels makes it hard for the PCM to match since there is nothing available to tweak the A/F ratio. Here it is, as the same as yesterday, It got real rich around 2500 and leveled off at 3100.
Here is today's

here is the first run

Was the temp the same as on the first run, do you think anything like that could have affected the low difference in hp gain?

The temp was colder the second run (roughly 44F to 30F). The tech said the computer adjusts for that, SAE. Although the gain is what he expected. I figured it would have been a little higher myself, although I haven't seen a kick in the pants with acceleration. I can hear the whine now and there is a definite increase, nothing to paste you to the seat though.

I was hoping to see a bigger increase, I just purchased one the other day. I would like to see what other guys are getting with other cai's. I wonder if you can return it.

I wouldn't return it. Even though it's a PITA to install.

I think with the righ uning (stage 2) you will then get the max gains out of the intakes. Why would you return one alluminum pipe with a filter on the end for a different alluminum pipe with a filter on the end? CAI areall the same in my opinion. And if there are differences you not be able to notice them that much. I will probably go with injen they seem to do a little more tweeking when they make there intakes.

Yeah it is on its way.

The polished should be here very soon, sometime next week i think.

We have a lot of the 2.2 polished and black avaliable. There was an extra 2.0 black shipped in this order we didnt know was coming. So there is one of those left.

Did you give your ECU a change to adjust to the new settings? I swear I pulled way more then 4 HP, which my brother will contest too. he would beat me from a roll by about half a car (40-120) Now I pull a few cars on him, now that is witha person in teh car, but it pulls much harder then a 4 HP gain. Do you have exaust? Is your 06 with the LSD package?

It took my car a little time to adjust to the new intake, in other words, me and my bro raced on our way home after install and he still ran neck and neck with me (kinda like a 4 HP gain) then we raced 2 days later and well you can see the vids youreself:

http://videos.streetfire.net/player....8-3203E58A55FF

he did have a camera man in his car, but I was pulling pretty hard and even without that guy I would ahve still won. My car feels so much more responsive since the Injen install.

Someone needs to put a K&N filter on the injen intake and see if the HP is different, I wonder if the filter may not flow as well as a K&N.
