Angry Injen intake problem

Last night I installed an Injen CAI on my 07 Cobalt S/C. The intake sounds great and did not cause the check engine light to come on. However, sometimes when I downshift into second or first I hear a pop-pop sound from the exhaust, almost like a backfire. Has anyone encountered this with the Injen CAI? Is the motor running too lean now? Thanks for your help!

your computer may be a little wacked for a couple days before it adjusts to the change. if it pops its prob unburnt fuel in the exhaust. if anything its rich. it shouldnt hurt anything.

did you put the air sensor in backwards (little opening toward the filter) and if your stock you will throw a lean code

I don't think so....the MAF could only go in one way because of where the screw holes are.

check to make sure all your hoses are connected, i think there is one to the intake and one connected to the TB
