Thanks, your install is looking pretty great too, thats one big ass H/E as well. You didn't happen to weigh yours before you installed it did you? Before i put mine on i weighed mine in at 16 pounds to see what i was adding to the car. Probably 20 pounds with the extra coolant.

is there any problems with it hanging a little lower then the bumper and it rubbing on the ground when you pull in a drive way? I have my car lowered and dont want it to rub at all and wreck something.

Its actually right about at the lip height, the way i made the bracket forced it to be that low since the bracket offsets the H/E about 1" lower from the front support. since its not as far forward as the lip, it shouldn't rub before the lip contacts the ground.

I haven't tested weather it contacts the ground or not so i don't know, but if i were lowered i'd be worried. However since there is still about 1-1.5" of space above the H/E you could make fancier brackets which could snug it up further which i may end up doing later during the summer.

mine weighs 8lbs no coolant and the top of the core is actually directly against the bumper support and it still hangs below the front lip. I need to cut a little out of the bumper support so that it tucks a little higher in the bumper.

Wow,that looks nice. The only thing i would be worried about is bottoming out the front bumper and breaking the drain plug off.The bottom of my bumper is all scratched up with the stock suspension.

yeah, mines all scratched up too. What i am actually going to do is trying to just get a plug with the right thread size and put it in instead of the valve, that would save almost an inch of height other than that i'm probably cutting off those lower brackets too.

The Heat Exchanger H/E is part of the air to water intercooler (or aftercooler) system in our cars. The H/E cools down the coolant which then circulates into the laminova tubes which in turn cools down the intake air and then it circulates back to the Heat exchanger to cool down the coolant again. The better or bigger heat exchanger you have (or heat exchanging surface area you have), the cooler the coolant will be (as close as ambient temperature you can get) and then the cooler you intake temperatures can be.

damn i say cool alot. Anyways, its pretty simple, and having a second H/E in our system increases the size of the heat exchanging area dramatically and will definitely provide better cooling for the intake temperatures after the supercharger. Differences are seen mainly at higher boost level rather than cruising.

I bought it seperately from the same company that i bought the H/E from, they do sell tubing, clamp and fitting kits on their site as well.

shipped with everything needed was about $229 that included 2 90 degree and 2 straight 1/2"npt to 3/4" hose adapters (not sure which one would fit best so i bought both, but straight works best), 3 feet of hose (had 2 more feet at home), 4 3/4" hose clamps and 1 spare 3/4"Npt to 3/4" hose for my pump. Then i had some scrap metal (maybe $8 worth) which i used some of to make my own bracketry.

i'm sure the stock one will work, but i have an aftermarket pump (which could possibly work better, i still haven't gotten solid numbers on my IAT2's). Cost per amount of temp change and heat soak elimination might not be worth it for a $200 aftermarket pump either.
