intake for 07 ss/sc?
im picking up my 07 ss/sc on saturday and im wondering about 2 things... first off, is there an intake out for 07's yet or is it the same as the 06's? and also is it safe to put an intake on my brand new car or should i break it in first for a couple thousand km's?

i just dont wanna risk it cause the 07's apparently changed a little but with the computer and stuff and im wondering if that can be affected at all. im just anxious to get an intake thats all.
lol true, but you know how you get those little thoughts in yor head when your getting a new car... i just wanna hear some good sound and let it breathe a bit... then hopefully some good stage kits will be around for the 07's after winter.

Also, the changes with the computer were supposedly software, not hardware, so an intake wouldn't effect anything. Also, don't waste your money on an intake, just get an AEM Dryflow filter.

so if i get an aem dry flow filter will it just install right in my air box or will i have to do any mods to make it fit or breathe better? as long as i can achieve the same performance as a cold air intake i dont really care what i do.
Here is what you do:
1. Order AEM dry flo filter, part# 21-2110DK or other aftermarket replacement filter.
2. Make sure you have the tools for the job, review/search "how to" section of forum.
3. Depending on warranty concerns you can:
A-Do Airbox Mod(Major Surgery/Destruction to stock airbox-see Airbox Mod in "how to")
B-Partial Airbox Mod(Install AEM filter, leave bottom of airbox off. Requires drilling 1
hole in airbox-very easy.
C-Replace factory filter with AEM, it fits perfectly.
4. Performance/gains are in order listed.
I've done option 'B' so far, big improvement. Plan on doing option 'A' soon.
I find it strange that I bought a new car and the first thing I do is start replacing parts.
