The intake is the same.

Are you sure that is the right part #, it says exhaust manifold, he is talking about an intake....

Also, the changes with the computer were supposedly software, not hardware, so an intake wouldn't effect anything. Also, don't waste your money on an intake, just get an AEM Dryflow filter.

so if i get an aem dry flow filter will it just install right in my air box or will i have to do any mods to make it fit or breathe better? as long as i can achieve the same performance as a cold air intake i dont really care what i do.

Here is what you do:
1. Order AEM dry flo filter, part# 21-2110DK or other aftermarket replacement filter.
2. Make sure you have the tools for the job, review/search "how to" section of forum.
3. Depending on warranty concerns you can:
A-Do Airbox Mod(Major Surgery/Destruction to stock airbox-see Airbox Mod in "how to")
B-Partial Airbox Mod(Install AEM filter, leave bottom of airbox off. Requires drilling 1
hole in airbox-very easy.
C-Replace factory filter with AEM, it fits perfectly.

4. Performance/gains are in order listed.

I've done option 'B' so far, big improvement. Plan on doing option 'A' soon.

I find it strange that I bought a new car and the first thing I do is start replacing parts.

There isn't really much of a performance difference between leaving the bottom of the airbox off and completely destroying. The only difference is if you destroy it, there is a direct route for water to get on it. Don't destroy the airbox, it is pointless, the filter isn't big enough to need that much air. BTW, you can put the airbox cover back on once you have installed the Dryflow in case your area usually has deep puddles around.
