an intake does not do away with the intercooler. people tend to like the Injen (atleast the new models they put out). i personally did the airbox mod. bought a k&n filter for $50.00 and have the same gains as an injen that cost $220.00.

Fujita < BEST WHINE EVER, WORST FORMENT EVER, OTHER PROBLEMS KNOWN WITH IT but some have custom fit it with no problems

Injen >great fitment with me.. whine is alright.. but nothing compared to Fujita, I have had both as mentioned in otehr threads but if you wanna work with the Fujita, you will be pleasedd with the screammm

I personally think I felt much more power from the Fujita.. I dont know if it was just the scream that made it sound like I was taking off in a rocket ship lol or really was the power.. but I sure felt it a lot more in Fujita

the airbox mod is actually the same as a CAI. a CAI is just a filter sitting on the piping. with the airbox mod, i just cut the box off and clamped the filter to the piping...same results. so if water hit my airbox, water will hit ur CAI.

CAI's are supposed to be a smoother, less restricstive path for the air to flow through.

The JBP intake has the largest piping at 3". The Injen I think is 2.5" and the K&N 2.25".

the Fujita mistakes is the worst fitment ever..is one.. 2 I hear some people get moisture sucked up.. and almostt everyone gets the cell (and I still have a cel with the Injen on)
however there are some people who had no problems at all and one who has a thread on here who custom fitted there which involved some cutting and stuff.. but turned out good, also there were some with no CEL's with it

Plain and simple the Injen is the best intake by far with the most HP and it's been proven on countless dyno charts. Just doing a stock air box mod does not give you the same HP, there is way to much air turbulence that way. The MR Technology in the Injen takes care of that. As far as CEL's go, you could throw a GMPP exhaust on your ss/sc with everything else stock and get a CEL like some others on here and that's straight from GM. All of us have Cels and the only way they are going away is a reflash (Wait for stage 2). So go with the Injen....

Others say it hits the hood strut bracket when the hood is closed.

And others say they have contacted Injen and had it returned for one that worked.

i have the fujita, never had a cel, and never had any water getting sucked in it. i took the added precaution of getting an filter sock, or one of K&N's pre filters, to keep the water out. If you are just going to do the airbox mod, I have an extra fujita cone filter i am selling for $25.

JBPs new intake design is probably the best out there. 3.0" pipe all the way, two piece. probably better gains than injen.. looked killer at the scn show in black.
