Intake Mod

I did the intake mod today and OMG its amazing its soo loud i love it i can acually roll them in 3rd LOL its awsome!!!!

i think he means bark third because i had time to do it today myself, and thats what mine does now.... and by louder it is way louder

Yes i mean i chirrped them going in to 3rd shifting at 4300 rmps lol its ALOT louder compared to stock for only removing the fender well then 4 bolts WELl worth it one thing i forgot to check does the filter have somthing holding it in? clamp wise

Oh my god. the cap holds it in!!! and I am not kidding. your filter may have fallen out of the box.

uhhhh ohhhh!!!!!! thats not good!!!! but it didnt seem to move around a bunch when i tugged on it......... thats not good at all!!!!

thats not true i pulled mine too... you have to remove a clamp that holds it in

lOL not the air box clamp. there is no clamp on the air filter dude.

did you do this with the stock filter still in and just leave the bottom off or did you leave it off and put in a new filter? and omigod you better make sure its secured, vibrations alone will take it off.... yikes.

lol dude i left the stock filter in and just took off the cap then re assembled my fender well LOL but i checked this morning and its still intackt.

Go get a good conical filter, doesn't have too be expensive, i paid 30 bucks for mine, then slip it in there and secure it with thin wire through the bottom clamp holes for piece of mind and to secure it. Also it really livens up the supercharger wine with a less restrictive filter like this... you'll love it.

should be fine, its still a filter, just has to fit. I'm not familiar with those filters but i don't see why it wouldn't work if you get it to fit properly at the top.
