Hi everyone,

I'm thinking about upgrading to Stage 3, 4, or 5. Can I get some opions on if its worth the upgrade past three? I'm defintly going to get atleast 3 I'm not sure if i'm going to go furthere. And I havent been very successful on finding links on these kits. I cant find any information such as what comes with kits and so fourth. So if I could get some feed back that be great thanks

i would go stage 4. Stage 3 is fun. but doesnt excite me enough.

 

stage 4 then...I actually work next to a guy that has a ss/sc with stage 3 he told me not to go with anything less. But what comes with the stages. I'm not a mechanic but I know enough to have a good idea on what I should need and get or what not. I know intense racing.com says the pics and stuff but I havent found on there yet on what comes with it. But I've only spent a few min. on the site....thanks guys

 

yep i would go stage 4 also (if i went intense)...


intense stage 3 seems similar to gm s2 and the stage 5 seems a bit too much for a daily driver...

 

i had the stage 3 and i was happy with it but the butt dyno wore off and i got used to it. So i just installed the stuff for the intense stage 4 w/ a 2.5" pulley. It is gonna be tuned tomorrow by dan(djt).

 

I say go for Stage 4, but with a 2.5" pulley...no worry about the flash because the stage 4 flash is the stage 5 flash. I have the Stage 4 with 2.5" and love it, it is VERY exhilerating!

 

did anyone send in thier pcm instead of pay the extra 200 buks for thiers? how long were you without your pcm from send date to when you got it back?

i was wondering if anyone sent in thier pcm for the stage 3 instead of pay the xtraa 200 buks for theirs. how long did it take from send date to the time you got it back?

 

i sent mine in on a thursday and had it back wednesday, so about a week

 

all i know about intense is the horror stories from clubgp and the fight with zoomer. i know the M90 is super easy to port on the gp's (takes less than an hour).
when i'm ready to mod, i'm just going to go with an mps, injectors, and hopefully by then, dhp will have the powrtuner ready for it. i think you would be better off with injectors, pulley, and hptuners than buying one of those kits. they dont seem worth it to me and youll get better by tuning the car yourself. just IMHO. btw, if you guys are happy with intense and dont have any problems, i dont mean to take anything away from them. buy what works.

 

Hey thanks everyone for your input. It sounds like I'll got with stage 4. Is is possible to just upgrade to the 2.5 pulley with out buying the 2.7 and the 2.5? About how much money is the kit with 2.5 pulley and 3inch idler pulley. Also is there anywhere else to buy it maybe a little cheaper then their website? Thanks again

I would by their kit but instead of having them tune it just do it yourself if you have hptuners or someone who has hptuners do itif your worried about them doing it. Ihave a couple friends though that would back them all the way. Its up to you.

 

is stage 4 a good daily driver? Has anyone had any problems from stage 4?

 

Stage 4 is great for daily driving. The power band is much improved over stock. Just make sure you run at least 93 octane gas otherwise the car will hesitate and lose a ton of power.

 

Get the stage 4, that way you can easily upgrade to stage 5 if you want to. All you will need to do is get the smaller pulley and the ported blower and your set!

yah stage 4 is ok for daily driving. get the 2.5" pulley instead of the 2.7" though.

 

do you need to do the case leare with the stage kits or only when you get just a pcm?

this is the impresion that im getting when i researched their website. can some one help me out ple.

 

you only need to do a CASE learn if you receive someone elses PCM. before you send yours out write down the sn and ensure you get the same one back.

 

i dont play on sending mine out until i have anothor one in place of it. i cant aford down time on my car.

 

then you'll have to do a case learn. little expensive though

 

i have been quoted at $20 +1/2 hours shop time. so about 50 bucks not bad.

 

thats real good.....I got quoted (just in case my pcm got mixeed up) for $85/hr with a minimum of 2 hours!! And they would reflash my PCM to ensure I have the most up-to-date software. F*** that dealership. If it was the dealership I bought the Coby from....I would have got it for FREE!
