The annouciator is used to tell you if you've reached past a certain peramiter..
I've got mine set up as a REV LIGHT..
When my revs go over 6800 rpm, the two red lights on the top of the gauge come on... really handy.
Just go into the menu of the gauge and go to Announciator Set Up...

I have mine set up as a chill light. When its cold, and I start up, it comes up, and goes out when my car is warmed up sufficiently....
I have it set to turn on when Coolant < 100F

It depends on how you want it to work.
Most shift lights come ON when your suposed to shift.
Find where you want to shift
Then select RPM for the paramater
Then select your shift RPM
Then Select ABOVE
This means that when you exceed that RPM the light will illuminate.
I have mine set for Coolant, then 100F then Below, so that it comes on when my engine is too cold. Or in my case, after work when its 25F it goes OUT when my engine is warmed up and I can drive home.

When you go to SETUP in that screen, scroll through and make sure you have a "*" next to COOLANT.... The first three paramaters I belive are IAT IAT2 and Coolant.
Then when you go to your annunciator set up, it will give you a list of paramaters, and it should appear on that list. Select Coolant, on that, and then set your number and pick over or under, Over if you want an overheat light, or under if you want a chill light.

You want to select paramater Knock Retard 3
and normal driving you should get 0.0 all the time,
When you really romp / step on it, sometimes itll
jump to 2.whatever and then quickly return to 0. Im told
that's normal. Ive seen mine jump as high as 7.? only for
a fraction of a second.
