interior door handle problem

so I searched and couldnt find much on this issue but yesterday i drove my car to work, and obviously when you start driving your doors automatically lock, well i was dumb and forgot so when i go to get out of the car i pulled the handle and felt a click and now my interior door handle has no tension at all

simply put my doors shut, and my interior door handle doesnt work, the exterior handle still has tension like it normally does but cant open it either, even when i lock or unlock the door. so im not quite sure what the issue is. and the big question is, is how am i going to fix this or get the door panel off if my door wont open :/

any advice?

Common problem.
Bang on the outside of your door with an open palm where the door mechanism would lock onto the chassis.

It'll eventually catch and you'll be able to open the door. THEN WD-40/Grease the **** out of it.

OR you could lock and unlock the door manually a bunch of times, not with the buttons, and it might catch that way as well.
