Ion Redline and SS ECU same?
Are the ECU's interchangeable between these cars? I need an Ion Redline one but there are so many Cobalt SS ones for sale for cheap. I have an 05 Redline.

I don't believe they are as a friend of mine has an '05 redline and his ECU is not the same shape as the LSJ ECU.

Well ZZP has one style LSJ PCM but you choose either Cobalt or Ion when ordering so I'm assuming there's programming differences.

You could always call them and ask.

I emailed them yesterday and said they are different. I'm just going to stick with my janky ECU and see if I can rip the old tune off.

Looking at gm part numbers they are different and also the pinout diagrams are different so I would say no.
