Jbody Performance vortex header?

So im getting 4k back from taxes so im looking for a good sounding exhaust. I can't spend all of it on my car Ive been looking at videos on youtube and saw this vortex header and it sounds sick. I tried searching but cant find much on it. Is it worth getting and what downpipe and cat back would sound best with it?

The only dyno I've seen in my few years here for this header - it lost 56hp over the baseline pull.

Loss of 56 hp lol wow! It sounds so sick, thats to bad. What would be the best full exhaust setup that sounds nice and deep? I was looking at the zzp header

This topic has been beat to hell. 100% METH (I'm pretty sure it was him) did some testing and found it was able to flow most setups on the M62 but as soon as you step up to a TVS or M90 it cuts off torque at the top end. It won't gain you any power, but on a mild M62 set-up you shouldn't lose any either.

I was the guy that did the dyno.

Stay AWAY from the header and their business in general.

I am the reason that they moved to the genesis market.

The header is bs. And unfortunately, they got a lot of people.

Look up the last time they even posted on here.

I haven't ever done the airbox mod but I can say that the 3" CAI K&N setup on zzp makes the blower whine really loud.

It's because I had a cobalt ls that I slightly modded for couple years and then I traded it in for an ss when one came in at my work. Havnt had money I should spend on my ss so was never really on this site to learn about it.

Unless you go turbo, honestly there is no such thing as good sounding exhaust for the lsj

The noodle is more than capable of flowing a m62 2.7 setup on a stock head.

the proof is right in front of your eyes

i have the vortex header and yes it sounds awesome and the only problem that i have had so far was the installation. But so far i havent had an issue with modding the car. ive got a 2.7, an intake and a few other little things but i am still running the M62.

Search the mp90 dyno thread

The m62 2.7 power band carries to 5500 on the jbp

the mp90 peaks @ 4k and drops like a small turbo on the jbp

Like I've said, it's right in front of your eyes
