I don't think it's the cams that are the problem. I think there are quite a few issues with the manufacturer though....

Manufacturer was a poor choice of words. I'll hold of on any claims until I have solid evidence to support them. Research is in progress...

While we're on the subject; though, how come you're the only one I've seen on here claiming they've run JBP TriFlow cams without issue? I know that there are at least 5 other LSJ's that JBP said have these cams running. I have yet to see one of them on this forum showing proof of this.

Have you resolved any of your tuning issues?

Yeah, i didn't remove it myself, i was just watching. I had to move it later to correct for it being off.

When did you buy yours? This thread only started two weeks ago...

I've had a thread up for months now about my issues with these cams and valve springs. I should have an answer regarding my car's progression this weekend. The head is being disassembled and inspected currently at the machine shop TTP uses. The should have it back together and on the dyno Saturday afternoon/evening.

Man there's been so many issues with these cams! I was going to get in on the group buy, glad I didn't have anything to do with that now.

Well the issue with the set that is running right now that I know of is a lot of False KR. The KR is making it difficult to make power with these things. We just have to see if that's a ghost with that car or if my car has false KR issues too...

Eh, what are you gonna do. I'm figuring I'll wait until some better proven cams come out and switch them up. It take only two hours or so to swap them. The issue is making sure we get these running safe for the time being because I can't afford to pay 10 hours of labor again to pull the head off and inspect it for damages after something breaks...

Sorry to hear about your bad luck with the Triflow cams. Has anyone had a positive experience with the triflow cam yet?

So you guys can't get a refund? Sounds like a defect, not your fault.

We can't prove there's anything wrong with the cams yet until we get a few with problems. My problems so far are directly related to the valve springs. When everything gets back together, we'll see how my car performs and if I have issues with false knock retard. If I have the same issues, then we may be able to get refunds; however, I'm still out all of the labor charges ($1000) + the shipping of the cores and TriFlows back ($100+)...

Yeah, the JBP springs are garbage. Send them back and get some real ones from Ferra or Bates or any other company that actually researches what they sell.

nothing wrong with the JBP springs, STAY AWAY FROM BATES SPRINGS.
I broke 4 sets of the bates dual coil springs. (outers spring not inner)
pay the extra cash and get the Fearras they're the best

You should be fine with those springs, just make sure they're installed by someone that knows the LSJ engine inside and out and follow the proper break in period...

As long as there are no clearance issues and you drive at least 300 or so miles keeping it under 4500RPM, you should be fine.

My big issue is with the fact we were not warned about the possibility of clearance issues when we bought them. Installed and broken in properly, they should perform better than the stock springs and hold a little higher RPM...

I had clearance issues with my Ferrea stuff, I'm not sure about the JBP springs.

JUST DON'T BUY THE bATES STUFF. i'D HATE FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN TO SOMEONE ELSES CAR. ( LIKE i SAID BEFORE, i BROKE 4 OUTER SPRINGS, WHICH LEAD TO 1 BENT VALVE)

The best part of the whole thing is that when they were doing the GP on these they said they would run on a stock tune!!!!! Well theres no way they do. Then theres the vavle spring issue they said you can run stock springs. If you plan on going over 7k get the upgraded springs. Thats just a few i can think of.

They succkerd a lot of us into these cams. I wish i could get all my money back. I feel like ive been rapped. Ive got over 700 bucks in these and nothing positive ever came out of it. Not only the money but the amount of time i waited for them to was rediculous. I feel bad for you guys that still are down. The customer service that JBP has is JUST ABSOLUTE ****. For that they will never see my money again.

Another rant. How come JBP hasnt EVER rang in on any of these cam threads? Most companies will try to come in and help. Or at least give some advice/say there working with so and so. NOT ONE WORD OUT OF THEM AT ALL! Seems fishy. Sounds like they needed to do some more trial and error before they sold these things to the public.

^^^I agree man, its a shame. My car was down for 2 months and now its running to its fullest potential (yet that is). They don't respond to my e-mails and when they do they are a few days late or I have to send them 10 e-mails before they respond. Hope everything works out for everyone with these.
