Not much else unleashes the SS2 like stage two does. It is the biggest gain for the money, and the biggest gain period, other than a Harrop or twincharging it.

More boost is always fun, anyways.

Congrats on the Stage II. My first mode after Stage II was Nates 2.9 pulley and then polyurethane Trans mounts and Motor mount, because of wheel hop and yes it cured wheel hop. Next was Vibrant header and downpipe then Konig Again 5 wheels with BFG KDW II tires, next was Eabach Sportlines and TTR rear swaybar and today AEM intake.
I bought my 2006 SS/SC used with 10,xxx miles on it 1 year and 1 month ago and I really enjoy this car. Next mod is going to be ZZP Heat Exchanger. Have fun with yours, these are fantastic cars!

That's a hair over 500 for you newbs that can't add. So how much did you pay for stage 2 and how much is it costing you to get it installed.
I would rather trust the stage 2 tune rather than risk getting tumed by someone that actually thinks they know a thing or two about hp tuners, but in actually they don't know ****.

Most places will send you a totally new ECU. And if you havent noticed, changing the ECU is stupidly easy.

The whole thing is easy if you have a puller.

But apparently the ZZP tune sucks... Thats what I hear anyways. Its the one I have and I havent noticed any problem with it. Apparently it runs dangerously lean. So maybe go with the Intense racing tune or something.

My only mod is GM Stage II and you guys make me feel like ****. :-(

Honestly if I had known what I know now, I wouldn't have ordered any stage kit period. But at the time I was determined to try and keep my warranty.

I was very happy with it, the car will feel and be quicker than stock.

I had a stage 2 install on the balt when I had it. The car only had 11k miles on it and I bought it a week before the install.

Stage 2 is pretty quick. I put a step colder NGK plugs in mine after the Stage 2 install. From a 20MPH I raced a 04 5.7GTO from a 20. While both of us had traction problems I had wheel hop, and he spun his stock tires, it was very close. Till about 80-90ish we were tied and just as his car started to pull we had to shut down. We did this twice. So given everyone has difference experience that was mine. I didnt do a "no lift shift" either, I didnt want to hurt the car.

Unless you want to spend extra money and have to look very hard for it, its quite hard to make the leap that stage two does.

Look at 99% of the cobalts in the 13s. They all have stage two. You shouldnt feel bad about having bought it, the warranty is important. But too bad you couldnt just get lucky and have a retarded dealership like I do

Just got the kit installed yesterday and man I am impressed, you can definitely feel the difference. When I first got the car back yesterday I noticed that the car was only revving to 6.5k before hitting the limiter and I thought that Stage 2 was supposed to increase the limiter to 7k. So I took the car back to the dealership today and they reflashed it and I have the 7k rpm limiter now. I'm not sure if the first reflash just didn't take or they didn't load the right one but it seems like its all good now. Man I love that whine!
