just as fast as a turbo
just as fast as a turbo
well someone i knew just got a turbo cobalt 08 and we raced and were neck and neck every race no one was pulling.although that was with him shifting...still i feel pretty good with my mods if i can run the same as them
wait till he starts modding it... he will put in half the money you out into ur car and rape S2 cobalts.... no offense of course. just stating what is now almost a fact.
^once tuning becomes available of course.

so 13 second cars are slow?
yea i realize that but i'm not going to buy a new turbo since i already have this, i mean this car runs great so im happy with as fast as it is...hell put slicks on it at the track and probably run low 13,s

The SS/TC's torque curve is all fugged up. It peaks at like 3200 RPM's and drops off big time between 3200 and the red line. Once he opens up the airways a bit more it won't even be close...

I don't know about what torque curves you have seen.... my car hits over 210 ft/lbs at 2000 rpm and rises all the way to my 7400 rpm redline ( to my 260 ft/lbs!)
No one has seen stage II cars hitting 13.5s and trapping 108 like me either but it has been done...by me and others.
Congrats to the OP for keeping up or staying even. If you think about it, GM came out with the SS/SC quickly to hang with the other companies. For the money, the SS/SC was a good buy and now they improved where they could just like they should. The new SS/TC is going to be better then the SS/SC. I would own one if it wasn't for them keeping the same weak tranny. Why would I buy a SS/TC, throw slicks on it with mounts and shread gears.

It really isn't a happy dyno. I dyno'd stock with just the stage 2 nothing else at 245.9 whp I believe. Added the rest in my sig and generally hit 260s, but we did a 4th gear pull and had a random spike of 270whp. But, my normal average pull without meth, my first pull in 3rd gear was 264.6whp and 217.17tq.
I have the dyno sheets to prove it. I think thats pretty on par with the mods in my sig, again the 264.6 and 217.17 was without meth and the first pull.
It was done on a dynomite dyno.
