Just A Fyi If U Put An Intake On

I went to check my intake today noticed it was a little loose so i put it up on a jack .. pulled back the liner... and notice holy **** there is a hole in my injen intake.. there is a mounting bracket inside the fender..and must be because of the torque on the motor or somthin not to sure.. the bracket pulled away from the intake tube, makin a hole in the tube about the size of a bottle cap..I am not to worried about my car suckin n e thing bad in cuz i check it over once a wk and in the last wk i have only put on 30 km. and it was not loose the wk b4.. but just a fyi for ppl who dont do the check you should be cuz it could go unnoticed because if u didnt pull it apart u would never of known it happen.. so keep ur eyes open!! the intakes on these cars should be tight .. never loose.. so be wear..

OH YA.. does n e one else have rub marks where they are wearing the aluminum away? mine has about 3 marks!!

As of rite now i sent it away to a shop to get welded.. and the bracket make stronger.. i will post some pics when its all done..

I have a injen intake too.. i think i let that out

Yep, what you might beable to do is go to autozone/adavance auto parts or w/e, look for the door trim (stuff that goes on the outside edge of ur door so it doenst chip) get some of that and put that on the flat piece of metal that is digging in your intake.

better yet, avoid injen. i had the same rubbing problem and it actually put a hole in the intake. when injen never responded to me about the issue, i just went with k&n. fits perfectly and no rubbing.

I had the same exact issue with my Injen pipe. They never got back with me about replacing it either so I gave up. I'm back to stock airbod-mod.

I was worried about that too with my fujita. I knew fitment would be a bitch and tight but I wanted it because its the largest diameter. But sure enough it rubbed and needed lots of adjusting to get right. With my 07' Ill probably go with the K&N.
