Just installed pulley technologies 2.8" pulley

I got a new pulley from a company called pulley technologies. They are basically ZZperformance but have a different name currently. They have something to fix the belt tension issue although I am not sure if it is for sale or not quite yet. It is very nice watching the boost come on so fast and not have the belt slipping. I will get it back on the dyno to report some numbers for you guys soon. Pulley technology has some good prices on there stuff and have some deals where you can get a press on pulley and there remover/install tool.

i talked with a friend of mine that has been to magnason , and from what he said magnason isnt happy about all the pullies from the after market , i guess alot of shafts are getting bent or something on the snout is getting damaged

magnason told him the stock pulley is out on with a 2200 pound press

also the pulley coming from GM wont be a pulley , it will be a replacement snout

how much of all of that is true im not sure , but i have heard of alot of s/c's getting damaged from attempted pulley swaps

why doesnt everyone just be patient and wait for the GM performance engineer people to come out with these upgrades rather than risking ******* up your car and every warranty...?

If you use the proper tools there is no risk of bending your shaft. In fact I know of at least 50 people now with succesful pulley swaps.

No when GM comes out with a factory performance kit will will not void the warranty. I have talked to technical assistance and one of the reps from the GM performace products teams and he said the kits will not void the warranty (but he would not give me the details of the kits)!!!
Oh and he drive up in a 2006 Pontiac Soltice. Very cool car (it was a pre production car so it had some flaws). It is rear wheel drive and has the same 2.4 vvt engine that is used in the non sc cobalt ss's. I was drooling but still like my car better.
