Just ordered Header/Downpipe (Hahn)

I should get it today or tommorrow.

How bad is the install?
Can I remove it as one unit and install it as one unit?

only problem i had with downpipe and header installation were the rusted exhuast bolts. I had to cut throught he ones connecting my downpipe to the rest of the exhaust. Oh yeah, and since i have big hands it was kind of a bloody knuckle game, but not bad if you know how to get the the manifold bolts.

With the proper extensions, swivels, and impacts it took about 3 hours of working time. I did have to take the header out because during the install I started a coolant leak. One of the primarys was pushing on the cross over. A little tourching and BFH tool on the header moved it out of the way.

My first impression is that it is LOUD!!! It does have some added grunt in the upper rpm range but, I lost some down low. I noticed because I need a little more gas in order to not stall.

Did anyone with a header reinstall the heat sheild?

Hey no I didnt re-install the heat shield. Took me and one buddy with normal hand tools and a impact gun and took about 2 hours for the Hahn exhaust. We did the header, downpipe and the cat-back. It sounds great after about 2k miles of break in time! It wasnt too hard but like dood said big hands= bloody knuckles and need for beer!

Remove the downpipe first. Then remove the header.

The header install is a bit of a pain in the butt.

The downpipe goes for 439 plus tax and the header is 499. The install wasn't that bad.
