just a thought for ram air cai

it just hit me that the driver side fog light is right in front of the filter on my cai. would i get any benefit from removing he fog light assembly (for track purposes) to cause a ram air into the cai filter? has anyone ever done this?

im not sure the benifits would be worth the work...i doubt you will see any noticable increase in power or cut in times...

Is the filter being restricted by being inside of my bumper. I would imagine the airflow in there would be really crappy. wouldnt opening it up some make it better?

yea i was thinking it would get more air to pass thru there by removing the fog light. it would draw more air for the intake to suck in.

i mean, if ne thing it will only give you a little throttle response....because since the car is F/I its sucking air anyway...so it might just make it a lil easier for the engine to take what it needs...but i doubt you will notice it

that's what i'm talking about, if i remove it, more air will go into the fenderwell where the filter is at. providing more air for the supercharger to suck in

ok.....i'll do that then, haha. i'm actually planning on getting dyno tuned in the next month or so. what i'll do is get tuned and get everything right. then for kicks and giggles i'll remove the fog light and put a fan in front of it. it'll be interesting to see if there is any difference. i could be a freaking pioneer!!!!

i'll make sure to put in my dyno thread that "this is for track use only" in big huge bold letters. and in really really small letters at the bottom i'll have that i am not liable for any siezing of your engine because you are too retarded to put the fog light back in, haha.

i thought i'd be nice, but i'm pretty sure we all know tons of words that could easily replace "dumb" with regards to that chick.
